Ecological Continuity Trust
The Ecological Continuity Trust is a small UK charity that is dedicated to preserving long-term field experiments (LTE). These are experiments that have been running for 6+ years in the past, or have funding for 6+ years into the future. Long-term experiments are important because they are the only way to detect slow and cumulative change in the environment. We aim to preserve LTEs so data from them can be used for evidence-based policy-making, sustainable land use and education. By doing so we help future generations to have resources to manage ecosystems in the face of environmental change. We receive core funding from the British Ecological Society. Head to our website for more on us and to: Subscribe to our quarterly newsletter See our latest webinar and register for it Join the LTE User Group Add your UK long-term experiment to our national register Read blog pieces written by those involved in LTEs
