Their nemesis, Odo, pushed the trial time forward, leaving supporting nobles scrambling to arrive. To help Luna, the party must find a way to stall court proceedings for about an hour. Upon arriving at the courthouse, they discover that War Matron Caomine Foregnach and her entourage have arrived. Matron Caomine previously killed a former player character (Tarina) and imprisoned/tortured Kenaris (Ellie's NPC boyfriend), establishing her as a dangerous enemy.---### **Pre-Trial Stalling & Traffic Chaos**Flashbacks show Luna speaking with Geleach about her past lives and identity before the narrative jumps back to the courthouse. Spotting the War Matron, the party panics: Ellie wild-shapes, Kenaris turns into a dog, Geleach uses magic to disguise himself as a human named "Greg," and Ciara dives into Ari's changing tent.Inside the tent, the party argues over how to handle the Matron. Ellie's initial panic-driven plan is to attempt to assassinate her, but Ari and Ciara talk her down, emphasizing that engagement is suicidal. Kiara reveals that her own mother is among the Drow working with the War Matron.To stall the court, the party uses magic to execute a distraction:* Ellie uses *Plant Growth* to entangle the streets below, causing a massive traffic jam that delays the judges, scribes, and arriving nobility.### **Entering the Courthouse**With the traffic cleared and the necessary allies assembled, the group prepares to enter. Ciara borrows a blue cape belonging to Ari's brother Art to hide her identity.
