Is there underlying jealousy among women?
Hi Listeners, It’s time to connect. Jealousy! Don’t we all know this feeling?! In Episode 4 of The Brain Dump (@DumpingBrains), we discuss jealousy among women, especially in the workforce. We describe some of our own experiences and observations and start on a quest to finding a language that captures these realities that seem to have tremendous effects on us yet are unspoken and not discussed. Some reflection questions include: How is jealousy manifested in society and the patriarchal system? How and when does jealousy show up in us? Why might we feel supportive of some women’s businesses but not others? What might we perceive as a threat? Could we possibly shift some of these societal behaviors if we acknowledge that jealousy is at times alive in us? Cheers to raw connections! www.thebraindump.life

Honoring Who You Are Today
Hi Listeners, It's time to connect!  Honor yourself in any given moment.  How would you feel honoring an unpreferred version of yourself? In part 3 of episode 3 of The Brain Dump (@Dumping Brains), we discuss possibilities of relating differently to our own reactions that might suddenly burst out of us unannounced and without giving us a choice.  It is not so much about wanting to change the moments that lead to these “outbursts” or reactions we dislike, but rather about changing how we can be with ourselves in these moments. Some reflection questions include: How could we make space for when we feel stuck within ourselves? Is there an opportunity to choose how we want to be in those moments while still honoring ourselves? How can we own parts of us that show up unannounced yet are not how we want to be? How can we accept parts of ourselves that we dislike? Why is it important to reflect on our own reactions? How can we have conversations with those who were affected by us? Cheers to raw connections!

Naming the Mess!
Hi Listeners,  It's time to connect!  Let’s explore our messy moments. How do you let others know which version of you is showing up today? When a more challenging version of ourselves shows up, it might be challenging to name how we feel and share it with others.  In this episode of The Brain Dump (@DumpingBrains), we talk about naming our feelings and thoughts. What might that mean to us, and what might it look like for us. We also explore the relational effects of our behaviors, such as walking away from a situation or taking a break amid an argument. And we discuss our intentions when responding to our children in specific ways while contemplating our choices in that moment.  Some reflection questions include: What language do we use to name our feelings?  How might naming our challenges and feelings be helpful? Do we have choices on how to react when feeling stuck in moments of messy conversations with our loved ones? Cheers to raw connections! www.thebraindump.life

Self Acceptance - Impromptu Connection
Episode 3: Part 1 Hi Listeners,  It’s time to Connect!  I’m guessing there have been times you have felt the need for an impromptu connection with your friend when you’re feeling overwhelmed, down, sad or just looking to connect?   On today's episode of The Brain Dump (@DumpingBrains), we are doing just that.  Nicole and Janine come together and ask the question "What is showing up for you today?" It is often hard to allow ourselves to honor our true self in the moment, when we are trying to role model for your children.   Some reflection questions covered in this episode include:    What is coming up for you today?   Who is your true self, that showed up to this moment?   Are you able to honor that part of your true self, and verbalize who he/she really is?   Can you stay present in this moment, and not travel mindlessly down the rabbit hole of negative self-talk?   Cheers to raw connections! www.thebraindump.life

Silencing Your Inner Self
Hi Listeners, It's time to connect!  Do you find yourself silencing your inner voice? On this episode of The Brain Dump (@DumpingBrains), we continue our conversation about how we might choose our speed of life and diving deeper into the idea of obligation versus choice.  We consider how our own expectations may affect how we feel about a situation or person.   Also, how we might honor and name our expectations so that we may show up to what is actually happening in that moment. Some reflection questions in this episode include: How are we making decisions about how we spend our time?   Is the decision made from a place of interest and choice or obligation and expectation? Can we invite in more spontaneity? Can we allow ourselves to be more open to our shifting mood and desires instead of keeping things safe, consistent, and scheduled? How are your own expectations affecting how you respond to a situation or person?   Can we check our expectations? Allow for grieving even when our expectations aren’t met, while also honoring what is coming up for us? Cheers to raw connections! www.thebraindump.life

How Can We Choose Our Own Speed of Life?
Hi Listeners, It's time to connect!  How can we choose our own speed of life? The lock down might have slowed our daily lives down, allowing some of us to encounter a new way of living. In this episode of The Brain Dump (@DumpingBrains), we discuss preferences and choices that became available to us throughout the pandemic cycle and led to more questions. Some reflection questions of this episode include: How might we want to implement some newly encountered and preferred choices of how to live our daily lives? How can we choose to keep some of the new ways of daily living alive while also allowing what might appear as the opposite? How do our choices affect us and our relationships?
