Dual Suns Rising *Hey! Welcome to Dual Suns Rising, the new podcast channel that’s a spiritual sequel if you will, to the original Dual Suns podcast. This is Dual Suns Rising, and I use “channel” deliberately. This is going to have vastly varying types of content. From movie reviews and commentaries to comics, books, games, current events, conspiracies, award shows, and a plethora of other things, this channel is going to be packed with content, and a one stop hub for aural entertainment. DSR consists of myself – hi, I’m Josh – and different voices on different shows, but you’ll get to know me very well. My wife Cassandra will be on here quite a bit, several friends, notably Jason – the major contributor to getting this channel up and going, and Rob, an extremely knowledgeable film buff and critic, who supplies me with generous amounts of digital codes for movies. Others will pop in and out. I’m excited to be on this new adventure with you, and I hope you give me some time to get the bugs out. As half of the Dual Suns podcast, I (along with Mike) built a pretty large portfolio of content over the course of a year and a half. I was very proud of what we accomplished with Dual Suns, but we had separate visions for the future. Unfortunately, different creative and personal impasses left us at a dead end, and the Dual Suns podcast simply could not go any further. Mike has his own stuff going on creatively, and I’m excited to see what all he does, and he’s welcome anytime. DSR is going to be different in ways, if you’re familiar with the OG Dual Suns. I’m personally going to try to be less political, or at least as politically caustic. It is in my nature to be opinionated, and if you aren’t familiar with me, you’ll come to learn that. I may have different opinions than you on things. You know what? That’s perfectly ok. I can’t wait for the dialogues we’ll have together. I cannot stand pandering, I’m not strictly right or left. I have personal beliefs, and they don’t fall completely in line with either “party.” I’m going to try to avoid going political on too many things. We have enough division as it is. I want to celebrate the awesome things we all use to just “escape.” However, this is the world we live in, and sometimes those things will come up. We are definitely “R” rated. We curse, we say crude things, we aren’t afraid to broach uncomfortable topics, and most importantly, we JOKE. If you can’t take a joke, you probably won’t last long. Just an early head’s up. SO!
