Crystal Jimenez is the daughter of Mexican parents who immigrated to the United States for better opportunities. She was born and raised in Chicago. She is a product of a Transitional Bilingual Program and received ESL services when she mainstreamed into a General Education Classroom in 6th Grade. Bilingual Education has been a part of her life since age five and she is passionate about and committed to supporting students whose first language is not English. She taught as a bilingual/dual language teacher for 10 years before becoming an Assistant Principal. After three years as an Assistant Principal, she ventured out during the pandemic to become the Principal of Field Elementary, a school in CCSD21. As a student, teacher, and administrator, She encountered many brick walls along the way, however, she was fortunate to have a strong support system at home and in school. She pays it forward by serving, motivating, and supporting others to reach their goals. Consequently, she is committed to being a source of hope to others and a testimony of the phrase ¡Si Se Puede!
