The origin of the gospel
Many Christians operate under the assumption that the gospel originates solely with Jesus, often speaking of "the gospel of Jesus" as if it began in the New Testament. However, Scripture reveals a deeper continuity. Jesus himself proclaimed "the gospel of God" (Mark 1:14), a sentiment echoed by Paul, who defined his apostleship as being set apart for this same "gospel of God" (Romans 1:1). Paul explains that this good news was promised beforehand through the prophets, tracing its roots back to God’s call of Abraham in Genesis 12.

From Protest to Paradox: A Critical Look at South Korea's Shifting Faith and Enduring Politics
This video (soon to be uploaded) offers my observations on the evolving landscape of Christianity in South Korea, a phenomenon deeply entwined with the nation's politics and social movements. I witnessed autocracy firsthand and protested as a college student in the 1970s. Decades have passed since then. Korea has since regained democracy amid significant challenges and, in the interim, transformed into an advanced economy, bringing K-pop and K-drama to the global stage. Much has transpired, rendering it, in many ways, a different country. While there's much to explore regarding these changes, this video's focus lies elsewhere. Instead, I will give you a brief response to a podcast episode I listened to recently.

Pep Talk about Human Transformation and Mental Health
A sustainable transformation must involve both human and social transformation. We should not focus on either one or the other. Both are fundamental to our daily lives and maintaining our overall health. Any discussion of transformation must begin with questions about human transformation. I initially recorded my talk on my phone. Then, I combined the audio file with photos and made a video file through an app.

Choose the way of life
Embrace the life and the grace of God. I meditate on Psalm 1. When I meditate on the law of God, the first thing that comes to my mind is the acknowledgment that God is sovereign and merciful. We must see and honor God as God, which means we must allow for the power of God in our lives and acknowledge our utter dependence on God.
