029: How to live your best life
Are you going through the motions with life? Are you miserable with the way things are going? Maybe you had big dreams for your life but they seem so far fetched. I am here to let you know that you can design and live a life you love but only if you’re willing to intentionally go after it. Here are the top 7 ways you can design a life you love Align your life with your dreams. Sadly so many people believe that they have to wait for their dreams to come true for their life to align with it. Instead choose to align your life with your dreams in advance and before you know it your actions your thoughts and your decisions will help move you in the direction of your dreams. Change your dialogue. We have to be cognizant of what we’re telling ourselves. Research that shows that our thoughts reflect out in our outer world. So if you want to change your outer world it actually starts with your inner world. Meaning you have to shift your thoughts and your beliefs about your vision and your dream. If you don’t believe that you can live a life of your dreams you won’t if you do you’ll start to take action in alignment with that and before you know it you will start to live it. Don’t be led by fear. In leading the life of freedom and purpose, you must take charge of your fears. The truth is everyone has fears but not everyone allows fears to leave them. If you want to truly live out your vision you have to stop being led by your fear. Embrace change. The only thing constant in the world is change. And the truth is if you’re not changing then you’re moving in the wrong direction. It’s tempting to remain in your comfort zone we’re safe is familiar it’s relatable but the reality is there’s no growth there. If you truly want to live a life of your dreams you have to step out of your comfort zone in order to move in the direction of your dreams. Detox you life. A big part of the designing a life you love journey is unlearning. We are creatures of habit meaning we have a lot of behaviors and habits that we’ve normalized. Some work in our favor and others don’t. Consider what in your life may be a distraction or a barrier to your success and determine the steps you need to take to remove it. Embrace failure. If you expect to win at every turn in life you’ll always be disappointed. Failure is a big part of life. But I define failure differently than many people do. I believe that you’ve only truly failed if you give up. But failure is actually feedback an opportunity to approach it more intentionally the next time. The best thing you can do is embrace failure expected and allow yourself to learn and grow from it. And then intern apply those lessons and watch how your life begins to shift some of the most unimaginable ways. Get support. A lot of times pride will allow you to believe that you should be able to figure this out alone. But what I learned on my own personal development and healing journey was that getting support was a very thing that skyrocketed my success. When you have the right support you get the motivation and encouragement in tools you need to not just talk about your dream but to actually bring it to life. All in all you can live a happy life that you desire if you’re willing to go after it. Yes sure it will include sacrifice it will include embracing change it will require discipline and consistency most importantly it will be worth it. 028: What is self care
Many of us believe that we do a good job of taking care of ourselves, but when we get to the root of it all we do not. Are you feeling overwhelmed, burned out, exhausted or just frustrated with life? If you answered yes to any of these you're likely not practicing self-care. We run all throughout our day for our job, our kids, or significant others, etc, but somehow when it comes to slowing down or doing something we deserve we put ourselves on the back burner. Society says this is the right thing to do, but research proves that not taking care of yourself first does not help anyone...including YOU. This is why we have to make self-care a regular part of our routine. Self care is any activity that we do deliberately in order to take care of our mental, emotional, and physical health. While this sounds simple, when it comes to implementing it that is a whole different story To get started with implementing self-care you need to know two things 1. You have to plan for self-care or else it won't happen. Make it part of your calendar the way you would plan a doctor's appointment. 2. You must identify what feels like self-care for you. Because what feels good to me may not be relaxing or caring for you (i.e. gardening). So today I want to share three self-care things tips that are non-negotiable. 027: My Favorite Productivity Hacks
We’ve all known that person who always seems to be getting things done. I mean do you really know anybody who’s not busy? Most of us wake up each morning facing crammed calendars and mile-long to-do lists. Somehow some of us can balance all of the tasks with ease while others of us are struggling to stay afloat That is because they have managed to improve their productivity. While many of us are busy, unfortunately we aren’t being productive because ultimately those are two different concepts. While you can be extremely busy if you have nothing to show for it, then you were not productive. Busy is defined as having a great deal to do or staying occupied.Productivity is defined as the state or quality of producing something. Increased productivity allows people to get what they want faster, or to get more of what they want in the same amount of time. In other words productivity gets you closer to your goals, being busy does not. Today I want to share my top productivity hacks I have implemented and how it has changed my life so that you can also make some subtle shifts in turn have more significant changes in your life as well. Sadly, time is the most valuable resource because it is nonrenewable. Therefore, it is important that we use our time wisely. Remember, every minute you save, is a minute gained! Applying these strategies, even if you only use one or two will help you to become more productive at work, at home and in your life. In turn reducing the amount of overwhelm and stress you feel. 025: Living by design NOT default
All of us make decisions based on autopilot or not thinking it all the way through. We often live by default, allowing our emotions and our experiences to control and determine our life. When in reality this prevents us from truly living. By living I mean taking control of your life, creating a vision, creating goals, and then executing on those goals, but majority of us do not do this. If you find yourself waking up every morning without a sense of direction and just letting the day happen to you then you have lost control of your life overall. Now on the other hand if you are living life intentionally by chasing your BIG vision, waking up with a plan each day then you are living by design. 023: The Truth About Hypnotherapy
