Making outer and inner changes is an important step to take for love and relationship addicts on their road to recovery.  Taking recovery one day at a time is usually an easier way for addicts to deal with their addiction, and makes the process feel more achievable.  Naturally, time plays an important role in the healing process and according to Dr BB, addicts must not quit their support system (i.e. therapy and/or support group) prematurely.  Much time must pass and much work must be done in order for the addict to overcome maladaptive behavior patterns, thoughts and distorted beliefs.
Have a listen to this Episode to learn more about the road to recovery for love and relationship addicts.
