As a Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Counsellor, Dr BB often works with couples (particularly cross-cultural couples) who long for healthier, more loving relationships, yet, they find themselves overly focused on seeking approval from others and/or meeting another person's needs, leading to frustrations and resentment.  More often than not, they are dissatisfied with their partner's ability to "meet" and provide them with the love they so desire.

Why does this happen? Dr BB's view on this is relating to Self-Abandonment.  What does it mean to abandon yourself? And why does Self-Abandonment wreak so much havoc in relationships?  Are you aware if you have any self-abandoning behaviours?
