Monica was a member of two different religions before she took refuge in the Christianity faith and became a devout Christian, eventually even serving as a leader in her church. But after some difficult life experiences, she's come to realize that she doesn't agree with certain Christian teachings about mental health, and love for self and others—teachings that don't make her feel safe to be the person she wants become, which is simply herself. She shares her beautiful story on the show.
