Hey guys welcome back to another weeks episode! This week we are diving into the 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse - Relationship style! The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse is a biblical metaphor that depicts the end of times. The Gottmans (Marriage & Family therapists & researchers) changed this metaphor to be more applicable to relationships. The 4 Horsemen are 1) Criticism 2) Contempt 3) Defensiveness & 4) Stonewalling. In this episode, we detail what these 4 Horsemen look like in real time. We give practical examples that will help you to look into your own relationships. We then offer 1 antidote for each Horsemen; which can be used as better alternatives to the Horsemen. We are all doing these things to some degree... the important thing we do is 1) realize we are doing it & 2) understand the "antidotes" to the Horsemen. 10 | The 2 KEYS to Building Self-Confidence
Hey guys, welcome to a new episode! In this week, we discuss the 2 keys to building self-confidence. These 2 keys are: 1) Making and Keeping the Promises we Make to Ourselves & 2) Deriving confidence from the right places. Alex Hormozi says: "You don't gain confidence from shouting affirmations in the mirror but by having a stack of undeniable proof that you are who you say you are. You do what you say you do."  It easy terms - you keep the promises you make to yourself! Consistency plays a major role in developing confidence. You have to be willing to put in the reps. Those reps are pieces of the "process." As we change our focus from being results driven, to process driven, our confidence will grow. In addition to that, it is also key that we derive our confidence from the right places. Confidence comes from within the human soul. Our confidence cannot come from anyone or anything outside of ourselves. We share personal stories of times where we have struggled with self-confidence and how we have been able to overcome our pitfalls. This episode will give you practical steps to improve your confidence as you implement them into your own life. Tune in! You don't want to miss it. Please like, share, and review our podcast as we grow!Em&M

7 | How to Find More Daily Joy
Have you ever heard of the arrival fallacy? The arrival fallacy is a term given to the illusion that when you reach some state, attain some possession, or overcome some obstacle, you will reach lasting happiness. It is a fallacy because it’s simply - NOT TRUE. How often do we do that though? We delay the daily joy we feel today, to one day (hopefully) feel lasting joy. When was the last time you told yourself: “when I finish… I will be happy”; “when I get to the weekend, I can rest”; “when I pass this exam, I will be happy.” We say these types of things to ourselves almost daily! In this episode, we discuss various points surrounding the arrival fallacy and share a few personal stories when we realized it in our own lives. We discuss these practical things you can implement into your life to feel more daily joy:Outdoor movement & getting enough sunlightConnection - Nurturing the relationships with the people around us. Growth - Putting yourself in growth situations daily pushes you to feel more joy. In addition, it is important we consistently reflect on the growth we have had. Survive to others - “For there is no happiness without service…”Self-Care - When was the last time you engage in some form of self-care? Thank you for tuning in for this week’s episode! Please rate, review, & share our podcast as we continue to grow! We can’t do this without you. Em&M

6 | Who Taught You to be Small?
Who Taught You to be Small? Who Tried to Dull Your Sparkle? Who Told You to Hide Your Magic? Who Told You You're Not Good Enough? In today's episode, we are discussing these 4 questions. Somewhere along the way, someone or something taught us to be small. They freaking told us to hide our magic. They so eloquently expressed: "you're just not good enough." Our gifts, abilities, and magic ready to share with the world... squashed. It hurts, right? It sure hurt for us when it hit us. Right smack dab in the face! Emily, realizes that it was 2 different people that tried to dull her sparkle. While Michael expresses that it wasn't necessarily a person but fear who tried to dull his. Throughout this episode, we discuss where this question came from, we share personal stories from when we were kids, and practical take homes to implement into your live to truly get back to living how you were meant to. Those people... those things... that are trying to dull your sparkle, are NOT a good voice of reason. It is time we get back to living exactly HOW we want. It is time we act BIG. It is time we shine BRIGHT. It is time we spread our MAGIC. And you... are SURELY GOOD ENOUGH. Join us for an inspiring and fun episode. :)M&EM.

5 | Journeyman's Mentality - Finding Peace
Welcome back for another weeks episode! Emily and I are very excited to be talking this week about the "Journeyman's Mentality." It something I, Michael, discovered while racing in a marathon. The journeyman's mentality is a state of being. It states, "life is not about finding joy in the journey, but by finding peace." Peace comes from living in alignment with our values. Joy is a single emotion felt at one single time. While peace is a state of being. We can feel peace at all times, no matter the emotion we feel in that specific moment. Find peace. In this episode we discuss:1) Life is about FINDING PEACE in the journey. We then dive into specifically how we can find more peace in the journey. I go in depth recounting the moment I realized that for the last 6-8 months of my life, I have been at extreme peace. During this time, I have felt a range of emotions: sadness, anger, frustration, joy, bliss, excitement, stress, anxiety, etc. Those were all emotions felt at one given time! While peace was & is the state of being I have been in. 2) We discuss emotions. It is common to think that there are positive and negative emotions. We are here to dispel that. There is no such thing as positive or negative emotions. Only emotions that serve a purpose. Emotions controlled, all serve a purpose. They key question to ask yourself is 1) Is this emotion controlled? 2) What purpose is this trying to serve? We offer 4 practical steps that you can implement into your day to be at more peace, today! 1) Identify your top 5 values & do something for them every single day 2)  Do something hard everyday 3) Get outside your comfort zone4) Prioritize taking care of yourself
