Episode 10: Let's Talk About Stress, Baby. Let's Talk About Chet & Tee Part 1
Today is National Stress Awareness Day so I brought on a professional to chat with me about how stress shows up in life and how to manage it, good, bad, and indifferent. This is ALSO the 10th episode and, if you’ve been listening, you know that I’m all for celebrating small wins so as a small celebration, I brought on a guest. In today’s episode: Tenisia spills the “Tee" about her life as a barista, why our friendship ended, the stress, and relief, honestly, that it brought us, and so much more. And as a licensed professional Psychotherapist, she gives some essential tips on what stress can look like it and how to manage it. FYI, we had a third unexpected guest, a Golden Doodle pup, Maxine, who was clearly experiencing the normal FOMO, whom you’ll hear frequently, And we also realized that we’ll have to do a part 2 for several reasons, so be on the lookout for that.We may start featuring guests more frequently and this guest and I, actually, have a surprise in store for the Don’t Hit Snooze fam. Without further ado, let’s get into this episode with our very first guest, @sweettee_!

Who’s Holding the Pen in Your Story: A Little Kanye Business & My Business - Let’s Talk About it!
Scripture of the Week:“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God. When you find yourselves flagging in your faith, go over that story again, item by item, that long litany of hostility he plowed through. That will shoot adrenaline into your souls!” —Hebrews 12:1-3 MSGQuote of the Week:“When you write the story of your life, don’t let anyone else hold the pen.”―UnknownWe are in Week 6 of the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day Challenge. Over-hydrated or dehydrated? Are you doing too much or not enough?
Scripture of the Week:“At the time, discipline isn’t much fun. It always feels like it’s going against the grain. Later, of course, it pays off big-time, for it’s the well-trained who find themselves mature in their relationship with God.”Hebrews 12:11 MSG (I may have this incorrect–this passage includes verses 4-11 in the MSG version and it’s extremely long, but it’s so good! Don’t take my word; go check the Word.)Quote of the Week (Same..even though I said, “Day,”):“Winners don’t do different things but they do things differently.”―UnknownWe are in Week 5 of the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day Challenge. If you haven’t already, sign up for the Challenge to hold yourself accountable to becoming the best version of yourself. Don’t wait til next year to work on yourself, your goals, your life! It’s your life and you should live it NOW!!In today’s episode, I:Share some of my current challenges with knowing where I should be dialing back and where I should be amping things up.Discuss how fitness is similar to life. Just because you max out doesn’t mean you stop working out; it means the exact opposite. It means that you have to decide if you want to maintain that weight then keep doing what you’re doing but if you’re interested in bulking up / building muscle / getting stronger, similarly, in life, you have to add more weight, do different exercises. Don’t do something else, do something different.Provide some encouragement to those who may have not been able to go to bed at night feeling accomplished or feeling good, in general, or about themselves.Resources:Don’t Hit Snooze - Wheel of LifeDon’t Hit Snooze - Eisenhower Matrix AdaptationJoin the Challenge Fam for the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day ChallengeHere’s what you missed during Week 3 of the ChallengeIf you don’t wanna miss a thing, sign up for the “Don’t Snooze News” NewsletterLet’s Build our CommunityFollow us on IG: @donthitsnoozepodFollow Chetta on IG: @cachettachereLike and follow us on our FB PageJoin the conversation in the FB GroupAdvertising inquiries: [email protected]

They do it for a gold medal that tarnishes and fades. You’re after one that’s gold eternally. You’ve all been to the stadium and seen the athletes race. Everyone runs; one wins. Run to win. Is Your Circle Complimenting You or Complementing You?
IT’S INTERNATIONAL PODCAST DAY! So I had to hit y’all with a lil bonus episode and add a lil razzle dazzle to your Friday. This is ya girl, Cachetta Chére: unedited. I have had this episode on my heart for quite some time and in the midst of deciding on whether or not I would record an episode, I felt lead to, so thoughts over; time to execute. I hope you enjoy it!Is your circle, your tribe, giving you praises or are they helping you to complete your assignment? Are they encouraging you from the sidelines or pushing the Cross forward WITH you? Or maybe they’re doing both. I do believe that God will send folk to help you complete your assignment, but sometimes you won’t always have people telling you how great you are. You won’t always see the likes, comments, views, and whatever else that will help to validate what you’re doing. But just know that they see you! But most importantly, God sees you.He will honor you for your obedience. Allow people to support you, uplift you, challenge you, and remind you of whose you are. But be ok without any of that. It may just be for a season that you’re in this thing and feeling like you’re all alone. Your next season could hold a multitude of giants’ shoulders to stand on that will help elevate God’s message, gifts, assignment being delivered through you. Keep pushing! Don’t abort just because people don’t compliment you. Don’t hold yourself back just because God hasn’t sent people that will complement you.I tried recording this on Facebook Live via Zoom. 6 Seasons of Life: How to Prioritize Well in Yours
We are on Day 7 of the “What the Buck?!” 100-Day Challenge. Things are going to get a little bit spicy because it’s time to amp things up. I really want to make sure that I’m holding you accountable to live up to your potential. Are you ready or are you ready?!In today’s episode, I talk about the 6 seasons of life and how to discern which one you may be in and how to go about prioritizing your life within the season and what you determine as having higher levels of importance based on your Wheel of Life evaluation.Quote of the Week:“When you accept the fact that sometimes seasons are dry and times are hard and that God is in control of both, you will discover a sense of divine refuge, because the hope then is in God and not in yourself.” — Charles R. "What the Buck?!” What You’re Doing isn’t Working
What you’re doing isn’t working, so it’s time to switch it up! Finish the year strong. Let’s run the play. In the first day and week of this challenge, we will focus on getting a grasp of where we are and where we want to be to understand the areas of our lives that need our immediate attention. I’m not one for rules, but we will most definitely have some group ‘Norms,’ to level-set and maintain a standard to uphold as a baseline. We will hold ourselves and our community accountable to the standard. In today’s episode, I talk about the “What the Buck?!" Challenge isn't about following everything that I carve out to a tee. It's designed to cultivate a meaningful deep-dive into your own life, goals, shortcomings, challenges, and strengths, while examining the areas that you want to improve upon to ultimately design the life you want to live and become the best version of yourself. But the kicker is...you gotta keep it ALL THE WAY A BUCK with yourself!Quote of the Week:The quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor. – Vince LombardiScripture of the Week:“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6:9-10‬ ‭MSG‬‬Resources:Wheel of Life Self Assessment ToolLet’s Run the Play! A Case of PMS - LATE Arrivals, EARLY Bloomers
It’s NOT what you’re thinking. In our third episode, we discuss how to shift our mindset from a fixed to a growth mindset using the strategy based on our newly defined PMS (Positive Mindset Syndrome).I talk about…What Positive Mindset Syndrome is as a result of having a Growth MindsetTips on how to create and maintain the life you want and dream of with the right mindsetSome things that may show up in our everyday lives to mentally prepare for them and not shift our focus from what’s good, what’s going well, our purpose, and our power.Scripture of the WeekDo not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you]. Romans 12:1-2 AMPCQuote of the Week“Progress equals happiness. If you keep growing, you’re going to feel alive. And if you keep growing, you’re going to have more to give.” - Tony RobbinsI’m sure we’ve all heard of PMS (Pre-Menstrual Syndrome), but this isn’t even close to what this episode is about. We give meaning to words, so how do you feel about giving new meaning to ‘PMS?’ You may have continuously been on this path to becoming the greatest version of yourself, but if you’ve been going about it with the wrong mindset, that may or may not be why you’ve been feeling like you’re sleeping on your potential.Resoures (contain affiliate links):For the productive sophistiratchet woman who has vowed to stop sleeping on herself by becoming the greatest version of herself, you deserve the most comfortable bra without sacrificing style. For $10 off your first purchase at WearLively, use my code: AMB-CachettaChereFollow us on social mediaIG: @donthitsnoozepodFB PageFB GroupAdvertising inquiries: [email protected]

The Real Reel - How to Appreciate Slow Progress in a ‘Microwave Society'
I don’t personally choose to subscribe to the “microwave society” or “microwave generation,” but I know that in the world of influencing, BBL’s, “experts” popping up on podcasts every week, and millionaire moguls under 25, it can sometimes FEEL like we don’t have enough money, we don’t know enough, we don’t have enough followers, we don’t have enough influence, we aren’t working hard enough, we just aren’t enough. Have you been feeling like you’ve been working toward something and just havent been seeing the fruit? In our second episode, we discuss how I, a multi-hyphenate, multi-passionante, and multi-potentialite is currently working through my own fleeting feelings of lack and overcoming the challenges of not getting what I want right away.I talk about…What we can do to maintain in a “microwave society”How to appreciate the slow grind or slow progressWays in which we can focus on the positive aspects of life to help us endure when things don’t look like what we’ve hoped for and when it takes longer than expected Quote of the Week:“God's timing is perfect timing. If it happened before it can happen again. Remain content, have faith (even if it's just a widdle bit lol), and stand steadfast in the Word, in and out of the storm, but especially through the storm.” - Ya girl, Cachetta ChéreScripture of the Week:“Not that I am implying that I was in any personal want, for I have learned how to be content (satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or disquieted) in whatever state I am.” Philippians 4:11 AMPCResoures (may contain affiliate links):We Live in a Microwave SocietyLiving in a Microwave SocietyFollow us on social media IG: @donthitsnoozepodFB PageFB GroupAdvertising inquiries: [email protected]
