Holy Ads
I don’t mind some but they are just so long.
Steffers33
Half ads
I’ve been listening to the show for years and I love it, but the ads have gotten ridiculous lately. The last episode had 29 minutes of content and 18 minutes of ad reads. Sitting through ads that long in a podcast is way too much.

Negative
The complaining from Meghan is UNREAL! Listening to her recap her birthday weekend made me cringe so bad. I don’t know how this girl made it this far in life…

its just not good
its fine… either luke warm takes or just ignorant tbh. its gotten worse over the years for sure. megan needs a reality check and idk if melissa is just used to it or what

Emotional Cheating
audio was really hard to decipher in this episode even while trying different volumes. blown out/ more quiet during content while ads were a different volume?

I love all editions of the podcast. I love the differences between Don’t Blame Me and But Am I Wrong. Meghan and Melissa are the best and I look forward to these podcasts every week.

bachelors degree in The Philosophy of Meghan and Melisa
Since I started listening to this podcast I graduated high school and am about to graduate college and I think you guys have taught me more than both of those experiences combined. I’m thankful for my education in Meghan and Melisa’s philosophy of life, work, and relationships. It has saved me from many a messy situation (but not too many bc I still have stuff to call about). My brain has been expanded in wonderful ways by your beautiful words.

Used to be a big fan
Used to be a big fan but the attitudes have gotten unbearable, the show I signed up for does not exist anymore and was replaced by four consecutive days of out of touch opinions that I do not want in my feed every day

5 stars isn’t enough
I found the podcast a few years ago so I had some catching up to do. I listened from the beginning and finally caught up this week. I’m devastated that I did because now I have to wait for episodes as they come out (due to the M and M multiverse of podcasts I won’t have to wait long but still). These two fantastic women truly care about their audience and the messages they are putting out into the world. In the few years that I have listened I can honestly say I have changed for the better. I’ve discovered my worth and stood up for myself and I can attribute that to Meghan and Melisa’s advice and general outlook on life and the world. Thank you both so much and please keep doing what you’re doing!! 💕

This is chaotic and awful
First, learn how to edit. We don’t need to hear the times you can’t hear each other because technology is cutting in and out. Second and most significantly, I can’t stand that the white woman constantly centers her own thoughts, doesn’t even think about the fact that there are experiences outside her own, and seems to talk 80% more than her balck “cohost.” Like, just GIVE SPACE to someone else please. It’s bizarre that this goes on and is not noticed by so many people in 2023.

amazing podcasts
these two ladies have become a staple in my monday, tuesday, thursday, friday routine. i started listening when i first started college, and i’ll be graduating in may, and i can definitely say that listening over the past 4 years has made me a better person. they are not afraid to cover pretty much any topic and call people out when necessary. i love listening to podcasts by two people who are in fact never wrong and truly look forward to new episodes.

Can’t handle it anymore
I used to be obsessed with this podcast, binged almost the entire series when I first discovered it! Now, however, I feel the complete opposite. Melissa, I genuinely respect you and think if you did a podcast with someone else I’d be a fan. Meghan is the most self righteous and least nuanced person I’ve ever heard speak …. if she doesn’t agree with every single thing about a caller’s situation, it’s game over. They like to claim they’re just blunt and tell people what they need to hear, but it’s so unnecessarily rude. Meghan thinks she is absolutely never wrong (ironic because of their other show’s title) and every once in a while Melissa counteracts it… but even then, Meghan doesn’t listen. She thinks she is the most educated, correct (morally, politically, etc), best person in the world and it shows through her “advice” she gives. Don’t get me wrong, I honestly agree with most of their political/social views but it’s the attitude they (especially Meghan) have that drives me crazy. I sincerely hope they read this and the other negative reviews to hopefully adjust some things, but I’m sure Meghan will simply call me and the others “another Rachel” and refuse to see our point of view.

You’ll learn more than you expect!
I’ve been a listener for years, constantly finding myself learning so much from them. They give great advice and inform listeners on current issues, educating the uninformed listeners (me) in the process. I truly feel like they care about the calls/emails they receive as they give genuine advice that the person needs. Also they’re hot 🥰.

I could not thrive without this podcast
M&M never fail to make me laugh, give me indirect tough love and overall comfort. If you’ve ever needed advice on anything, you are in the right place. Also if you’re new, start listening from the beginning and listen to all the episodes. You won’t be disappointed! Love you guys.

Thoughtful and a good time
Megan and Melissa are like my wfh friends. They keep me company for 2+ hours between this and But Am I Wrong during my otherwise pretty socially deprived work week. I called in once and their advice added perspective, and helped lift my uncertainty on the situation, leaving me with more clarity to decide how to proceed. Beyond their wholesome friendship and entertaining banter, they are always thoughtful and concerned with inclusivity. Their empathy and integrity are amazing and I truly thank them for it. They are actually putting out what they wish to see in the world, what we need more of, which is honesty.

A piece of home
I recently moved to New Zealand from America. Even though I love it here, I am homesick a lot of the time. These gals and their two podcasts really have a way of making me feel at home. Their episodes are my comfort food and they make me better. Thanks ladies :)

My only complaint is that the episode goes by too fast and I have to wait until Thursday to hear from these wonderful people again ):

Sometimes you get advice by accident and exactly what you need to hear. This is still my favorite podcast and my thing that keeps me company on my way to therapy. thank you ladies for always being right 💅

COVID
I am definitely not an anti-vax person, however 95% of business/places no longer requires people to wear masks. So when you are going somewhere be prepared for a lot of people to not wear masks. If you’re going to be uncomfortable with that then a) wear your mask or b) don’t go. You can’t police who wears masks and who does not. I rarely see anyone mask up, unless they’re in a doctors office or hospital.

Unnecessarily Cruel
I’ve followed Meghan since her tiffany blue bedroom days, but I’m done. I can’t shake the feeling that she is a mean girl after listening to this podcast. On multiple occasions, I have found it to be unnecessarily cruel and unaccepting toward its callers. It honestly feels like both hosts are lashing out at callers to ease their own problems rather than give quality advice.

Count me converted!
I found this podcast after being a subscriber on Meghan’s YouTube (side note: love the cinnamon roll recipe😋). I’m going to be honest and say that when I started listening to this podcast I was definitely a conservative and had a lot of backwards thinking. After listening to season after season, (and after getting over my own big-headedness lol) I truly started to realize that not only are these ladies giving great relationship advice, but their moral and political standpoints are on point and make so much more sense than what I was raised to believe. Thank you so much Meghan and Melisa. You have both changed my life in too many ways to count! Keep shining bright! ❤️

Have some compassion.
I’ve been a fan of Meghan’s since the beginning of her YouTube days and have listened to this podcast since it’s beginning. I was a member of the patreon and the fb group up until this week. The feedback in these reviews is correct: Meghan and Melisa are too harsh and negative without giving callers the benefit of the doubt. Callers shouldn’t have to announce that they’re sensitive in order to receive compassionate advice. The caller this week who spoke about not being certain about her career path SHOULD NOT have been told that she’s doing harm at her work or be dismissed for just being a new graduate. The fb group was even worse to her. I can’t stomach listening to any of their podcasts anymore.

my fav podcast/the reason for my villain-redemption arc
i am 18, i started listening to don’t blame me when i was 15 shortly before the pandemic started, and i am proud to say how much this podcast has positively impacted my life. from being more confident, learning how to speak up for myself, starting therapy, and maybe most importantly of all, learning what it means to truly respect others, meghan and melisa have taught me a lot about being a good person. the most recent episode inspired me to write a review because i know i am not necessarily the target audience as an 18 year old boy, but i love these people so much. i sometimes credit don’t blame me for starting my villain-redemption arc because my friends joke that being a villain is just about speaking up for your own feelings and needs even when they might not coincide with those of others, so it brings me joy to look back on how this show was always a part of my life while i was learning how to advocate for myself and how to set boundaries while overall becoming a better person throughout high school. i am excited to see what’s to come!

My favorite podcast
I grew up watching Meghan and started listening to this podcast in 2019 (cant believe I’m only reviewing it now). This podcast has brought me so much humor and comfort. As a mixed black, chronically ill, closeted bi woman this podcast has made me feel heard and validated through some of the toughest periods of my life. This podcast pushed me to go to therapy which is life changing. I have listened to so many episodes that I can apply their advice to my own life. They have brought me the courage to cut toxic relationships and situations. It’s refreshing to be apart of such an inclusive, funny, and thoughtful community. The silver lining in Covid-19 is that Melisa became a permanent host. I cant recommend this podcast enough (except if you are conservative). I look forward to every Monday and Thursday because of them. Meghan and Melisa, please keep doing what you’re doing (even if you aren’t making any money from it lol) because its value is priceless ❤️ Ps. When I binge listen to too many episodes in a row I get Meghan saying “im gonna level with you” stuck in my head

Refreshing
I'm an older woman, so much of what they say doesn't apply directly to me, but they're able to address subjects of relationships and sexuality that I wish I'd had available to me when I was a lot younger. I'd definitely recommend it. And for other older women - this would give you good insights into what younger women are thinking and saying.

These two get me
I love how (and I’m so sorry I don’t know how to spell your names forsake) Megan riles me up and gets me righteously angry, while Melissa keeps me calm throughout. Also they’re never wrong. And the more I listen, the more I love what I learn about them. General Hospital fandom? Amazing. Anti-ableism? Top Shelf. Anti-invisible-ableism? 10/10.I just feel like I’m actively in the conversation with them, which is all anyone wants out of a podcast!

✨applicable to real life✨
I feel seen by this podcast. Melisa and Megan say the things we are all thinking. From patriarchal power dynamics to how to deal with you boyfriend’s mom, M & M have you covered… (and will be spilling tea on how those seemingly disparate topics may very well be connected.) It’s a 6/5, to be honest. They’ll take you along to all the cringey, *deep* places, but it’s always a fun, wild ride from beginning to end.

M&M Mondays
This podcast is the only reason I look forward to Monday mornings! I’ve been listening for a few years now and I’ve grown so much as a person since tuning in and hearing their takes on dating, friendships and so many other situations. Meghan and Melisa’s rapport with each other makes you feel like you’re chatting with your best friends, which is why I’m stoked they added the second podcast too!

Something I look forward to
I have not been into podcasts before but this one I have been going back to for more, every Monday.. Listening to other peoples life problems/situations is interesting to me and it is really great to hear raw, off the cuff, advice and some funny (but true) constructive criticism. They do a good job of putting things into perspective for callers and thinking outside the box. The truth isn’t always pretty, but it’s life-what can you do other than learn and move on. Much love 💕

What I NEEDED
I have called into this podcast twice, and both times the hosts disagreed with me and told me I was wrong. Which at first it is jarring, because most people write in hoping to be agreed with and told how right they are. But I never knew how much I needed an outsider to look at my situation and tell me who I really was in the situation. Both of these ladies humanize not only you but everyone in the situation, they helped me to see from a perspective I never would have. So no, they have never sided with me and told me how much of a smart girl boss I was, but I can get that advice from any of my close friends. Sometimes you need someone to tell you you’re a big jerk in order to be a better person. They are not about making their fan base happy and agreeing with the callers, they are about making you into a better person. And I love that.

Found this podcast in the middle of the pandemic. I’m obsessed! I love listening to the old episodes and the new. At one point I’d listen daily as I walked the dog. It’s so refreshing listening to people call out unethical behavior, even if it means they might lose fans. But they’ll totally validate callers if they’re in a hard spot and need advice and the caller is *ethical*. It has helped me build up the courage to point out unethical behaviors in my own life and reflect on my own thoughts and opinions, and phrasing. Melisa and Meghan are funny, relatable, and even educational! Love these ladies, keep on doing what your doing! I also love the other podcast they recently came out with, but am I wrong? It feels like the perfect add on! And be sure to check out Melisa’s other podcasts, they’re also great! truly a diamond 💎💜 ps. I loved seeing Melisa and Meghan’s relationship blossom throughout this podcast, envious of their friendship!

Give callers the benefit of the doubt
I called in and I misspoke a little because I was nervous and only had one take. It was immediately called out and I cringed listening to my episode I couldn’t even finish it lol. I think by listening to the rest of what I said it was obvious my intentions were good and I wish I was given the benefit of the doubt as just a person seeking advice. If I was perfect I wouldn’t be calling in to an advice podcast. Not everyone has the same vocabulary and choice of words as yall! I said the word “normal” and it was taken in the context that not everyone like me isn’t normal. Nope, I just meant that I don’t have any special circumstances in regards to my call. Also I recommend listening to the call twice because sometimes the facts from the original call are messed up when giving advice, making the advice less meaningful. And I think it’d also be helpful to reach out to callers that have been selected for an episode for more context if needed! I think if I was allowed to provide details that weren’t captured in my short call, it would have been received better and the feedback would have greatly improved. My advice to anyone calling in is to include as MUCH information as you can fit without making it obvious you’re the caller and reiterate important facts.

Love it!
I started this podcast recently and have been listening to it in reverse chronological order (newest episodes first). I am baffled by reviews calling the hosts mean, negative, political, or closed minded. I found this podcast due to feeling all of those same things about another podcast I was listening to and find this podcast to be such a breath of fresh air. The advice they give their callers is honest and fair. I feel they look at multiple perspectives based on the information given. I also love the dont blame them section where listeners can give their perspective too. Kudos to these hosts for not “yes man-ing” callers, seeing when things are nefarious, and having equal expectations and standards of conduct for both genders (not just excusing bad behavior in the name of pseudo “woke” feminism). You have developed a forever listener!

It was great until it wasn’t
I loved this podcast since 2019 but when covid hit it took a turn for the worst. With no more guests and just two women who think they are right all the time, this podcast lacks a sense of reality. I consider myself as liberal but since covid I guess there’s a new definition for political parties and I should say conservative since I think getting the vaccine is a choice, which isn’t even political. This was suppose to be an advice podcast like the hosts reiterate every show but what they fail to mention is that if you don’t agree with everything they say you automatically are a raging republican. Listener make sure you’re okay with hosts belittling callers at every chance they get and if you end up calling in make sure you make everything perfect to meet their opinions. Sad to see where this podcast ended up, delusional bullies.

Lacks nuance
Grew up watching Meghans vlogs and loving her :) and loved the pod for many years. unfortunately won’t continue listening because Meghan and Melissa have become an echo-chamber of unilateral opinions with zero nuance. Back when they had guests, the guests’ opinions would keep Meghan in check. Or at least lend her perspective. But now it’s just Meghan and Melissa hyping up each other’s terrible takes. Now, they’ve also conveniently constructed a little joke between themselves that all their negative reviews come from one girl, because they can’t fathom that more than one person would have any grounds on which to criticize them. Ultimately they are mean and it’s starting to show :( and they hate nurses for some reason?

Well…
I really used to love this podcast and Meghan up until recently. There has always been negativity and bullying in my opinion, but just recently I’ve realized how negative and sad I’d be after an episode, and I realized I had to stop listening to the constant bullying. Meghan used to have so much compassion for people but lately you can tell she projects her own pain by bullying others. I’m not a Rachel or by any means a conservative, but I do hope Meghan can learn to not be so hateful and begin to heal.
