Meet the Boxer dog breed! Boxers are a loveable, athletic, humorous dog breed that love their people. Boxers are generally great with kids and have immense love for their families and are happiest when with them. Boxers tend to be protective of and patient with children making them a great family dog. Boxers have a lot of energy and will do best with an active home and secure space to run and play. While the ancestors of the Boxer can be traced back to ancient times, the breed we know today was developed in Germany. The Boxer has been one of the most popular dog breeds in America since the 1950s and has been in the top 10 dog breeds since then.
