-how advertisers have told us that milk is good for us and it is not
-how fish is not a real “healthy” option
-look at charitable organizations and how they don’t always do
-how hard it is to get good information about health and diet, even from associations that are supposed to prompt health
-we review the results of the participants in the documentary
Chelsea gives her thoughts on how her health has changed since she became vegetarian.

We start by giving some background on the DuPont family as well as John E. DuPont. We look at John DuPont’s development of Team Foxcatcher and the power imbalance that existed between him and the athletes. We also discussed his strange behaviour and this was not new. Also how he was able to get away with things because he had a good relationship with the police
We debate if it was o.k to leave his money to one of the wrestlers or if it should have been left with family.

Audrie and Daisy
This week Chelsea and Michele review the documentary on Netflix Audrie and Daisy. It’s a documentary about two teens who are sexually assaulted by boys they considered friends. They are then harassed online and shamed by their peers.
Some of the points we discuss from this documentary are:
-victim blaming and how this leads to men not being held accountable for their behaviour
-the impact of Audrie’s event on her versus the boys that assaulted her
-the issues with the women not reporting sexual assault because of the fallout and lack of prosecution
-the obsession with football players and protecting them
-the sheriff’s reaction to the situation and his comments
-how would these situations be different if Sheriffs were not elected
-the definition of rape and what exactly that is and issues with consent
-why did some cases result in convictions and others didn’t
-we mentioned the Brock Tuner case
-changes in law in Ontario, Canada that could affect rape cases
