This is already our last episode. Our final guest is Miriam from Johannesburg, South Africa. We talk about different topics such as behaviour towards foreigners, corrupt politics and violence.
Miriam gives us a local observation about the tension in her home country. Yet she is not speaking for or on the behalf of the local communities she does not belong to. She is only talking about her own experience as a white local in Johannesburg. This is based on what she has absorbed and witnesses on her own behalf.

Today we talk about environmentalism with April who is living in Victoria, Canada.
April gives us an interesting insight about the tension between the Indigenous People of Canada and the provincial and federal governments. Yet, they, as a white settler, are not trying to speak for or on the behalf of the local Indigenous communities. They are only speaking from their own experience as a local in the community of Victoria based on what they have absorbed and witnessed.
Towards the end, we also go into Canadian politics for a short time. Here April refers to their Prime Minister as Premiere a couple of times by accident.
In the episode there are a few noise interruptions and breaks due to bad internet connection. We are sorry about that.

Welcome to our first episode. Today we talk to Alice from Chicago about health insurance in the United States of America. She tells us a personal story from her youth and gives us insights in her personal experience.
In the episode the question comes up if it is illegal to not have health insurance in the US. As found in research health insurance coverage is no longer mandatory at the federal level, as of January 1, 2019. But some states still require citizens to have health insurance coverage to avoid a tax penalty.
