In this episode I share about some conversations that have come up with my kids lately, inspired by the toddler saying "Jesus cried", leading into a life lesson based around John 11:35 Jesus wept.Even though Jesus knew the outcome, he still grieved the death of Lazarus and it's okay for us to have "negative" emotions even when we trust God.

I'm so happy to be back behind the mic! After taking some time off, I was able to reevaluate where the show is going. I will be continuing on with a season under a new name (art and name change coming in a few days), Teach Me to Abide.I feel like that's the season God has been pulling me through for quite some time and I want the show to be focused around His goodness rather than all my strategies. While there will still be strategies and systems, when appropriate, doing things in our own strength is not the focus.I'm not sure if I'll relaunch an email list or a website. If you want to talk directly, you can still email [email protected] or DM me on instagram @createdbycheskaThanks for being here! I hope this show blesses you!

You can understand the tools, have the right systems, and still feel stuck. In this episode, we’re naming the gap that keeps consistency from sticking: trying to do it alone. We’ll talk about why insight without support rarely leads to lasting change, how gentle accountability creates safety instead of pressure, and why support isn’t a weakness — it’s often the missing piece. This episode bridges everything we’ve covered in the mini series and sets the stage for what’s coming next.

You’ll learn why emotional regulation sits underneath habits, routines, and follow-through, and why no system works when your nervous system isn’t supported. This episode will help you understand why you get stuck — and why tools and structure are meant to support you, not restrict you.
