Crazy P are a curious collective. Without ever having hits, they’ve become one of dance music’s most beloved outfits. As they enter their 30th year in the business, we reflected on a range of topics, from records that clear the floor, collaborating remotely, growing champion radishes and mourning the death of much-loved singer Danielle Moore.

Fish Go Deep is the pseudonym for Greg Dowling and Shane Johnson - their reputation in their hometown of Cork is already legendary - as long term residents in the cities Sir henrys nightclub. They transformed what was a largely rock venue into a citadel of modern electronic music, with a residency that lasted well over 10 years and cemented their reputation of two of the best DJs Ireland has ever produced. We chat about Corks varied musical history, the twisted tale of the cure on the cause and their studio working methods. Tune in!

Having shamelessly befriended Jamz Supernova a few weeks back, we managed to coax her into the DJH studio with the promise of a season ticket to watch Grimsby Town. We chatted about her rise through the radio ranks from local station in Sydenham to the BBC, where she has presented shows for ten years. Have listen, this is a woman with a mission and purpose.

In an industry that venerates youth, it’s remarkable achievement to be still going in your 40s, yet Greg Wilson is so close to his retirement pot, he can smell it from here. He began spinning in 1975 as a 15-year-old teenager, went on to win residencies at the Haçienda and, more importantly, Legend in Manchester.

Neil Rushton has enjoyed a lifetime of activity in dance music, from his discovery of northern soul to becoming a DJ and promoter. He's owned a bunch of record labels over the years, including Network, the label that turned Altern-8 into pop stars. He was also instrumental in the naming of a genre: techno. He explains how the seminal compilation, 1988's Techno! The New Dance Sound Of Detroit came about. 

Artwork – aka Arthur Smith – was there at the birth of dubstep, guiding it into the limelight via the quasi pop stars Magnetic Man and out of the other side. There are few producers or DJs as versatile as this dance music polymath. We map his adventures with the likes of Skream, Benga and Danny Harrison from Big Apple in Croydon to the actual Big Apple, New York. 

Singer, songwriter, producer, DJ, world itinerant, Megatronic wears a number of hats, which is handy cos in this weather she might need one. We chatted to her about living in Dubai, growing up in London, her love for PJ Harvey and how she pivoted from musician to DJ after the tragic death of a band member in her group Black Cherry.
