Melissa is the Director of Professional Development and Diversity at Lane Powell where she provides leadership and strategic direction for the firm’s professional development and diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, and she also serves as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee Member at the Institute for Well-Being in Law. She is active in the National Association for Law Placement where she is Vice Co-Chair of the Professional Identity Formation Work Group and a Member on the Neurodiversity in the Legal Profession Task Force. Melissa is passionate about the close connection between belonging and inclusion and the connection between DEIB and well-being. She is a first-generation woman lawyer, she can be described as a connector, educator, and inclusive leader with a focus on conscious inclusion.
