**********************************************************
Is Courtney Love misunderstood? Probably not, she seems like an open book. She's definitely controversial, though, thanks to her history of drug addiction, drama, feuds... oh, and of course those pesky conspiracy theories. But most of all, she's been painted as a difficult she-devil due to society's discomfort with any woman who's outspoken and talented and refuses to conform.

We're joined by music critic Keely Quinlan (@keelyquinlann), a writer for Consequence of Sound, Stereogum and more. She fills us in on the context of the Pacific Northwest grunge and Riot Grrrl scenes that helped give birth to Courtney's antihero status. She also wrote the "Diva Behavior" theme song, fun fact!
