Mathias Nordvig (1982-) was born in Denmark and has lived part of his childhood in Greenland. He has a PhD in Nordic mythology from Aarhus University in Denmark. During his studies, he has also lived in Iceland. Mathias Nordvig has been teaching Viking studies, Norse mythology, Scandinavian folklore, and Arctic culture at the University of Colorado at Boulder since 2015.
