Once again Brickey brings the phenomenal essence of Disney to life. He is amazing at being straight forward and honest about the company and knows how to say what the community is feeling. Not only that, he is able to convey the nostalgic feelings of Disneyland through his own story telling. One of the best Disney podcasts!

If you are a Disneyland fan you will love this podcast. The details and in depth research he does shows through his immersive storytelling. He’s able to make you feel transported to the parks via the pod. Brickey never fails to put together high quality content & this pod is just another testament to that statement. If you are looking for Disneyland vibes you get an IV straight up through anything Brickey produces.

I’ve been listening since the first episode as well as watching Adventures In Design (Now “Hey Brickey”) channel on YouTube. Great to hear the newest podcast episodes. Listening to Mark’s In depth thoughts in the podcast format is always a good listen and makes my day when I have an episode to listen to on a drive or when I need to escape while working. 1) Always want to hear Mark’s deep thoughts / analysis on what’s going on at Disneyland/TWDC. 2) Would love to hear Philander & Jarrod catch up episodes 3) There’s a lot of “Former” Imagineers since the Thanos Snap. Would be cool to hear Brickey interview some of them. I’ve listened to other pods do it but it’s always better when Brickey does it!

If you consider yourself a Disney nerd then this is your podcast. Each week shares an in depth discussion of topics related to Disneyland. From the parks history to tips and tricks of maneuvering the park, it is all here. Some information I knew and have enjoyed hearing peoples take on the topic but I have also learned a lot. Highly recommend the podcast! P.S. I originally wrote a review when I started listening but wanted to add that 2 years later I’m still listening and still highly recommend. In 2020 and looked forward to the bit of Disney magic Brickey brought each week. It was such a nice escape during those rough times. I’m so glad he has started back up with the podcasts because I have more time to listen then to watch (though I do love his YouTube channel too). Highly recommend this podcast for Disney fans who want more then just news but a discussion of the goings on.

Interesting Disney podcast, with a unique perspective.

I watch YouTube and listen to podcasts, when I’m at work I really appreciate having a Disney podcast to listen to. Rachelle Adding to my last review, love the new HeyBrickey title of the YouTube channel. Loved the content with you and Adam in WDW for the 40th of Epcot. Can we please get an Adam podcast. I know he shares a lot on his channel, you have such a great way of interviewing for your podcast, I’d love to hear you interview him. One of my favorite episodes is you talking to Ordinary Adventures. Rachelle

I thoroughly enjoy Brickey’s podcasts (and his YouTube channel). He is different than many of the others in the best way. He approaches Disneyland news and stories with a creative eye, a sense of humor, and a clear love of the park and it’s history. So glad he’s doing this podcast and all the other great content!

These used to be so goooood. Now every episode has some sort of mention of his “modest” luxury lifestyle, his tesla, his poorly announced “esplanade”, how much he doesn’t care for kids, how he hates the rides but loves the land, how he never watched the movies and doesn’t care about them, how much he doesn’t want to work for Disney ever again, how he has the opposite take of the news headlines, how good he is at his job, how much he understands design, etc. He also tries to not get political but says SO many micro-aggressions. (Tw: blm, racism, transphobia) Do better, brickey.

Why do I listen to podcasts and watch YouTubes about Disneyland? Because I can’t go to the park very often and I’m looking to take a little vicarious trip. I’m interested in what is going on there because I have good memories from all the different times of my life. I love the place. I’m not wealthy. I don’t know anyone personally that belongs to special clubs or can afford to stay on property. Doing the park that way isn’t even remotely in my realm. Mark is the very best of all the choices out there of taking me to the park with him in ways that I can relate to and that I’m interested in. He asks the questions that I have too and surmises in ways that interest me. The podcast format is Mark at his best. The way that he uses sounds to bring his stories alive is wonderful. I’m so happy that he’s making these again. They are pieces of gold. Thanks Mark. Uncle Walt knew that there were gobs of us little ones who weren’t going to be in his park anytime soon. He found a way to take us there with him. That’s what Mark does too.

Mark brings great insight and opinions about all things Disneyland (ok and some WDW occasionally.) mark clearly loves the parks and doesn’t toil in hot takes. When Mark has a criticism it it well considers and honestly something you should pay attention to. Most importantly Mark brings heart to his podcast; if you are a fan of the park he will give you some of those feels you are missing. Mark has built an amazing network of fans. I love this podcast! I can’t do video..if my kids see it they will stop and watch. I can and do sneak in a pod cast during the baby’s last bottle or in the middle of the night when one of my kids wants a snuggle. I love the new format..everything I want to know and presented by you! I’m still waiting for your Star Wars hotel review..I checked the podcast every week until you came back. Please don’t leave us audiophiles without your soothing brand of information dissemination again.

I listen to more than a handful of Disneyland podcasts and this is by far my favorite one to listen to. I have never written a podcast review but I believe this one is well deserving of one and I really want it to keep on going. As someone that loves to follow The Walt Disney Company all around, I find Brickey's views and comments on just about everything the company does to be insightful. Not only does Brickey do a great job staying up to date with the Disneyland Resort, but listening to him break down the design and purpose of an attraction, land, building, etc also challenges me to understand the Disneyland Resort's intentions for myself and the guest experience. If you want to stay up to date with the Disneyland Resort while at the same time critically think about the past, present, and future of Walt's original Magic Kingdom (Disneyland), then this is the podcast for you.

Love that you’ve started these podcasts once again. Love to listen while driving or while at work.

Very impressed with Mr Brickey’s podcast as I’m spot on page with his point of view, except the part of not watching the movies, come on Brick, live a little and expand that view! My family goes, use to that is but will again, annually or more to Disneyland and no one could understand why I spent the money I did every year to be there. It started as a great family vacation, drive one place, park the car and have a blast for next week just playing. Over the years it has turned into exactly what you share and I love that I’m not alone in these thoughts. I see it as the place I want my kids to grow up in, where I want to live in. Where people will stand quietly and patiently in line for not a short time for a little bit of happiness with their family. Will stand on the sidewalks for hours to see a parade or at the Rivers of America to view the jaw dropping Fantasmic spectacular or in front of the castle to see those fireworks we’ve seen a hundred times and get chocked up every time. For that time we all get along and for the most part are happy citizens within the walls of Walts little city. People say it’s “escapism” I view it as the place that people want to be and see the best of what we can be all the time. I hope to see you on Main Street someday my friend. Thank for all your work, positivity, and optimism as well as clear honesty in sharing your thoughts on what is undoubtedly one of the shining spots on this amazing planet.

It started as a design oriented Disney podcast. It would even openly mock the clickbait out there in Disney YouTube/podcasts with their endless top 10 lists, etc. But at this point, it’s just become another piece of Disney clickbait.

I love this podcast. I am a cast member (corporate) and I haven't been to Disneyland in almost 3 years. This podcast has saved me, it makes me feel like I'm in the park and brings that warm, fuzzy magic back to my life :) Brickey is a fantastic host and I love when he brings Philander on. The background music is beautiful and he asks all the right questions for someone interested in design, the history of the parks, and just Disney magic in general. Keep up the great work!

Not a fan of this style of “talk show” myself. I feel the interviewer speaks about themselves too often, talks over the guests, and puts words in the guests mouths too often. Not my jam.

Mark Brickey’s Disneyland for Designers is a podcast that not only brings people’s imagination back to the happiest place on earth, but also illustrates why many have a deep love with the original Magic Kingdom. His dedication to every detail is what makes this podcast the best beyond any other. Mark will take you on a lap around the park but in an entirely new way that is focused on the design and history of the park. After listening to simply just one episode (or several because honestly you won’t be able to stop), you will begin to appreciate the park in such a better light, that I think Walt definitely would have wanted us to see as well. Not only has Mark created an extraordinary podcast, but his ability to build creative YouTube videos and an amazing community has also made this podcast so special. I would have to give this podcast a solid 10/10, 5 out of 5 stars, and two giant thumbs up!

I’ve never left a podcast review before but had to for the Disneyland for Designers podcast.This is by far the best podcast for people that truly love Disneyland! Brickey is the first person I’ve ever heard that has the same core passion for Disneyland that my wife and I have. Brickey Mouse has delivered yet again. The new format is hitting absolutely perfectly! A “book report” on the subject’s design and then a deep dive discussion about the subject matter is such a great way to distill the evolution of this podcast. I’ve been listening since Episode 1 and I have absolutely come to adore this show! Keep up the incredible work!

I normally never write reviews on podcasts, but I feel like Disneyland for Designers is too good for me to ignore. Brickey, I totally love you and what you have created. This podcasts helps me feel the magic of Disneyland every day that I listen. That said, the episode with Justin Scarred was really hard for me to listen to. I’m sure he’s a great guy, but he would interrupt and change the subject soo often, and it kind of drove me crazy. He would talk more than listen. I love having Jerrod and Philander on the show. You three make a good combo. Thanks again!

Brickey brings honesty and authenticity to the Disney content creation universe. DFD is overwhelmingly positive, which is something we all need these days. Although positivity is crucial, authenticity is paramount and this podcast has authenticity in spades. Real opinions, from a design perspective, not bogged down by the blind groveling to anything bearing the Disney trademark that is the calling card of most Disney content creation. Come for the trampion, stay for the Philander Butler conversations.
