In this special episode of Disinvested, we examine how the COVID-19 crisis has exposed longstanding racial and economic disparities across the country, and what we can do to rebound from the pandemic as a stronger and more resilient country.

For our final episode, we asked nearly 100 people the same question: What does it mean to be part of a community? As you might expect, we received a wide array of answers. People shared what their community means to them, and what they view as their obligation to their community. Throughout this series, we’ve talked about building stronger and more inclusive communities. In this episode, we’ll discuss why community matters, and offer suggestions of what we might do to repair the social bonds that have been deteriorating for decades.
