Dina and Susan discuss family recipes, fueling, and following their dreams.
Susan Juray became interested in nutrition after her sister was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. What started off as researching ways to help her sister manage her chronic condition through food and nutrition became a call-to-arms within the field of dietetics. Susan went on to obtain her MS at Hunter College in NYC and completed her Dietetic Internship at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Susan is currently a clinical dietitian covering the medical and surgical ICU due to COVID-19 response, but her long-term goal as Registered Dietitian is to obtain certifications in both diabetes education and sports dietetics.
Susan is an avid a runner (she ran her first marathon in 2018) and a member of SCAN (https://www.scandpg.org/home) who loves learning about food and nutrition modifications to improve athletic performance and recovery. Check out Susan's Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/run_on_nutrition.
