2020 Signifies the end of my DJ Journey, what a blast it's been.... well what an awful year 2020 has been for everyone. But it's given me time to reflect.
I reflect on 6 years in the industry. starting out as a bedroom DJ with big ambitions. The joy and excitement at getting that first local residency, to BPM event DJ competition winner, sets on radio, event owner, festivals to rubbing shoulders with the best DJ names both old talent and new, to playing at the best venues, productions played on national radio - a Djcity Number 1 track. The laughs, the tears. It's been a joy.
So, my last musical gift to you, a 3 hour mix of dance classics through the ages that will take you on a journey. Hand selected tunes heard in my childhood...and those lost travel through time tracks that heavily influenced me. Mixed by ear and rough round the edges. No gimmicks, no sync the way it should be.
Nothing is forever as they say, but it doesn't mean the music has to stop.
Klash out.
Peace x

Wales is a country that has produced its fair share of musical talent over the years. Some of the world’s biggest recording artists have been proud to call the small British nation their home and when it comes to electronic music, some of the industry’s heaviest hitters and most influential characters have also been produced within the Welsh borders, none more so than dance music royalty Sasha and Paradise and Hot Creations head honcho Jamie Jones. The latest talent to stand up and be noticed is the North Welsh double act BRODYR.
BRODYR, the Welsh word for brothers, is the musical alias of the sibling partnership of Mike and Dave Blackwell. Although only started in September 2015, the seeds for the BRODYR project were planted a lot longer ago than the three years it has been in operation. With both brothers showing a clear inclination for music from an early age, each learning to play the piano by ear, their path into the electronic music industry was cemented by regular trips to Ibiza, first with their parents as children and later, into their teens and beyond, with friends. Heavily influenced by some of the Balearic Island’s most recognisable faces, in particular Carl Cox and Marco Carola, BRODYR have developed their own unique style that encompasses the full techno spectrum, ranging from minimal to tech house and everything else in between.
Having played their very first gig in Space Ibiza, big things were always likely to follow for BRODYR. Following up their debut performance with appearances in some of Europe’s biggest clubbing institutions, BRODYR have become regulars at The Warehouse Project and have also played venues like EGG London, as well as performances at festivals such as Parklife, Manchester, and Hideout, Croatia. Appearing on lineups for these brands often sees BRODYR sharing bills with some of the industry’s biggest and most in demand names, never seeming out of place while rubbing shoulders with artist like Denis Sulta, Yousef, Sam Divine and Mark Fanciulli. BRODYR are also currently residents for nghtwrk, one of Chester’s most popular and forward thinking club brands.
Not just DJs, BRODYR have added a very significant production feather to their cap. Calling on all of their experience and musical influences, the duo have honed their skills and taken the time to find their true sound and in November 2015 released their first track, Parallel Universe, on CRAFT Underground. Since then, the brothers have enjoyed a whole range of successful releases and are currently signed to some of the scene’s best respected labels, including Mushroom Smile Records, Be Color Music and Kool Katz Recordings.
With a number of local and international bookings already confirmed, as well as a catalog of music awaiting release, it is easy to see why BRODYR have been labeled as “one to watch” for 2019 and beyond. The future is bright for these Welsh brothers, watch this space for more to come.

KLASH's residencies focus on no-nonsense House Music and its sub genres. KLASH's
passion for House started in the mid 90's and this experience can be heard! A veteran
behind the decks KLASH started in 1998 as a garage DJ and found his niche by regularly
using 3 decks in his sets, allowing him to add vocal and classic samples to add an element
of live remixing on the fly.
KLASH was brought up immersed in house music; and is is true passion, you could say it’s
in his veins! His father was a veteran promoter from Cambridge who used to put on illegal

Fit For Purpose is an electronic music project by Northern Irish DJ and producer Gavin Smith. Inspired by DJs such as Deadmau5, Eric Prydz, Cristoph, and Yotto. Fit For Purpose is an artist who likes to get progressive with his track selection and is well accustomed to playing across multiple genres, encompassing everything from house to techno with an emphasis on the deeper and darker side of things. Having spent more than a decade in the army, it’s fair to say that Fit For Purpose knows his way around weapons, of both the dancefloor and military variety.
With three year’s worth of DJIng experience in his arsenal, Fit For Purpose brings the values he has learned during his service to everything he does behind the decks. Dedication and discipline have seen him truly master the art of DJing in that time, mixing tracks with military precision and keeping the peace on the dancefloor with impeccable track selections. Now based in London, he often keeps crowds entertained until zero six hundred hours in venues such as the Ministry of Sound, where he has appeared on the same line up as the likes of Nicky Romero and Ben Nicky.
Also a student of the Point Blank Music School, Fit For Purpose has spent the last twelve months honing his production skills and developing his own sound. He has earmarked 2019 as the year he finally starts producing some bombs of his own, which you can expect to hear destroying dancefloors in the not too distant future.
With a number of international bookings already complete, including an appearance at Ibiza’s San Antonio superclub Eden, it’s clear to see that Fit For Purpose is a DJ and producer who is set to invade nightclubs near you very soon.
