Roger Grant, BIM manager at the National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS), discusses NIBS’ efforts to expand application of a national Building Information Management (BIM) standard, as well as promote a public-private partnership to produce a national BIM program that holds potential to improve construction productivity and cut costs by anywhere from 13% to 20% on major infrastructure and other projects.
