I stay on YouTube, and Mohuya video about thrifting in Brooklyn came down my timeline. I decided to check out a couple of her videos and like them. I seen she had a podcast with her boyfriend and I decided to check it out, it’s one of my new favs. Their voices are so calming and I find myself listening to two episodes a day sometimes, I love how the both of them are so driven and they actually give me inspiration to go for my goals and dreams. 💕💕💕💕💕💕

I’ve been listening to difficult-ish since 2023 and I must say that I love how the dynamic between mashnun and mohuya has evolved once they started being in-person. As a Bangladeshi myself, I find both of their personal experiences very relatable. And I love how they sometimes back up their takes with statistics/facts and wish they did it more! Excited for future episodes 💗

As someone who is half South East Asian and half American, there are so many things discussed on this podcast that I can relate to. I never thought I’d hear someone else relate to how hard it is to make other brown friends or what the expectations for you are as the first generation American. Thank you for making me feel seen. I never expected how much I would come to love this podcast.

So happy I discovered this podcast recently. I love the topics discussed, the unique perspectives, the chemistry —everything! It’s almost as if I’m in the room.

If you think you’ve got to please white people, that is a personal problem. I am a white guy. I’ve got black people, Spanish people in my family. I’ve had Asian friends when I was in school growing up. They never had to please me. I guess that’s a northern thing. Down here in the south we don’t deal with any of that garbage. Every body gets along about 99% of the time.

So, the difficulty of being brown gives you the right to bully and harass people with your violence. Perhaps you should address the difficult-ish of being a misogynist. Please do not be a hypocrite and acknowledge your flaws. You do nothing different that people do with racism, you just violate women through offensive words because it is easy to do it behind a keyboard, right? You portray this image of an intellectual woke artist, when in relaity, you are a woman hater and very immature. Your art is not that great BTW.

love love love this podcast I’m so glad I found it! it’s so easy to feel alone and isolated as a brown person, not just in terms of being brown but also not rlly liking the same things or being alike in general. sometimes u feel like the only creative brown person out there which is crazy but it felt true! until I found this podcast, it’s helped me be more brave and I feel a lot more comfortable in my culture and skin. also btw I am a teen and I definitely have similar experiences to both mohuya and mashnun; I feel like a lot of brown media isn’t rlly geared towards youth or ppl living second gen.

This is the podcast that I didn’t know I needed! Being pretty young and Asian Indian American (long name bro) it’s hard for me to find real representation and someone who can actually understand. This pod makes me feel like I have somebody that I can just listen to! Thank you Apple for putting this on my front page and thank you guys for making this podcast.

being half bengali and half white I really enjoy listening to these convos cause I grew up with my bengali side of the family and it’s been a tough ride. it’s made me really question me and my identity as a south asian and these convos makes me feel like someone understands 🥺🫶🏽

I’m not south asian but I am a child of immigrants in America, and I am just enjoying these conversations so much. It’s comfortable and casual and thought provoking. Thanks for providing this space for us to navigate young adulthood together :)

Great podcast! This is the only podcast I listen to because I have been struggling with many of the topics that Mohuya and Mashnun talk about. I have gotten a lot of the clarity about myself and gained a lot of insight on being patient with my parents and balancing my needs with my families. Love this podcast and so happy it exists 💕

I definitely didn’t think I needed a podcast that I could identify and relate to this badly. I hang onto every word, and in between the life stories and experiences, they throw in lighthearted moments South Asians and others can all get a giggle out of. Annoyances with parents, feeling out of place, and learning to love my culture in adulthood are al experiences we relate to. This podcast is like the siblings I don’t have (as an only child) and younger South Asians in their teens are so lucky to be able to interact and consume media like Difficult-ish.
