Really incredible
I love that you made this podcast and wish you still were, but all the content is still relevant, of course. Excellent job, well presented, high production value. Thank you!

Just read the description of this podcast and you'll get the idea. Anthony delivers and I like the way he does it.

Design guy is useful in all mediums
I was so glad to have stumbled upon this podcast. I've been looking for something to listen to on my morning commute aside from the same old music and this is just what I wanted.
Obviously I'm a creative type (I specialize in video production), but I was looking to get a better foundation and understanding for graphics and layout. Design guy focuses on principals that hold true throughout most mediums. It's broadly useful in all of my creative projects.
Oh ya, and I love the intro music -- which I'm sure lots of people have said.
Thanks for putting time into this!

Worth Listening To Even if Not Required
This is a podcast required for a college course in graphic design. But far from boring and not just for graphic designers. Topics apply to anyone in any creative field. Short and very sweet listening.

Super Sweet
I Dig Bro! I can tell you put your time and concentration into this show. I like how you have created a perfect balanced show that starts and ends the same way. Although it has a robotic humanoid feel sometimes, this aspect I feel appealing due to its clean and focused topics, almost as if there is a white textured background to everything you say. Some may interpret this in a negative way but who ever dislike it, well they just don't know beauty when they hear it. I think I could really get into longer episodes but that might ruin the groove you have found your self in. Don't change anything man you have a unique simplicity and I can Dig it Bra.

great show
Great podcast for you to listen when you are doing nothing… so then your mind can flow and really travels into the concepts.

Great Series!!
I used this series as a supplement for a class. He describes these principals extremely well, and has more time than my teacher would in class.

Teach a Man to Fish
Design guy teaches design principles over technique, meaning you can apply this learning over your entire career. Forgive the overused proverb, but it is the best analogy for this podcast series:
"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime."

Really good but too few and far between
I really enjoy this podcast, but maybe seeing a new one every week or so would be nice. Bring in sponsors or open up for donations, but I'd like to see a lot more of this.

Super Good Reminders 4 Artists
I really like this podcast as a reminder of how to view the elements and principles of design in many different ways. Anthony Rotolo is brief but clear in his ideas and analogies. I really enjoy his perspective. It is a great springboard for anyone in the creative field.

Short. Sweet. GOOD.
That pretty much sums it up. I found this from a link in someone's Twitter feed and what a great find! Episodes are around 5 minutes of focused, cogent, and well-articulated presentation and analysis of basic design principles. It seems great for students beginning careers in the graphic design and viz com fields, and a fine touchstone for established practitioners. Check it out!

Brief episodes, but great impact!
As an artist and a student of art and design, I have been learning about many of the elements the Design Guy explains. It's nice to hear his take on these ideas. They are small morsels of information that pack a great punch. Good job!

Design Principles
Great design principles podcast and not just for graphic designers. First 25 or so podcasts just focus on general design principles. A bit stiff at times but overall a great podcast to listen to over and over.

Best Creative Podcast period.
Design Guy is the best podcast I've ever listened to. What makes Design Guy such an excellent program is the way he delivers very applicable content in such a straight forward manner. His topics are very relevant to anyone in any field of design, and just as he claims, they are indeed timeless because they are based on design principles, not design methods.
Design Guy doesn't knock learning the methods, but since his focus is on the principles, the listener is free to imagine and apply his advice in whatever field of design they are engaging in.
He also is very comfortable to listen to. You can tell his comments are clearly thought out and they are articulated well. He makes you feel like you're sitting in on a short lecture by an engaging professor.
I'm a huge fan of Design Guy and would recommend his podcast to any creative professional or business professional.

Great podcast for reviewing the fundamentals of design
While I have heard most of this information before, I am a relatively new designer, so it is great to hear it again and again and with a slightly different take each time. Anthony effectively chunks out the material and serves it up in convenient 5-6 minute episodes that I think will serve as great reference material to go back to from time to time. Keep them coming -- I'll be listening!

Excellent Podcast
Very informative and concise. Great resource.
Marc Rob.....
Clear, to the point and enjoyable
Anthony Rotolo must work hard to deliver this enlightening and educational mini class. Rotolo's ability to orally describe a visual presentation is excellent. Thanks for the chance to learn!

Exception Lecture Style - Strong Conceptual Emphasis
This is an excellent lecture series about the basic principles of design. It is short, to the point and anticipates my questions. This is important because there is very little feedback potential from the audience. I tried commenting on the actual site, and couldn't. I am not sure if this is to discourage a community atmosphere or just avoiding the time issue podcasters eventually have to deal with.
I was facinated to find someone lecturing somewhat the way I did, but more sucessfully. The only suggestion that I have is to read Moholy-Nagy and a quick once-over of the Gestalt rules. They will be helpful when talking about the line, specifically the implied line, the basis for most page-shaping.

Walking the Talk
The concise, clear and direct format of the podcasts exemplify many of the basic design principles covered in these sessions. The principles discussed have far greater application to other professions than graphic designs. As an engineer that deals with the public frequently, I find that the principles and processes captured by the Design Guy have real value for my work as well.
Excellent work. Keep it up, Anthony.

Great Podcast
This podcast is short and to the point. I am not a professional designer but find myself doing plenty of designing. Design Guy gives me food for thought that gets the creative juices flowing.

Simply Fantastic.
I teach graphic design, and am always caught up with showing my students software techniques. I encourage my students to listen to these podcasts for the core priniciples they espouse. The Design Guy's podcasts are instilled with the fundamentals of good design.
Keep them coming!

Excellent.
The content is exceptionally well refined and thought through. The delivery and time constraint should be a model for other podcasts. Great job and thank you!

Delivers exactly what it promises
DesignGuy is great for anyone, including designers. As a designer myself I find that it's sometimes difficult to carefully articulate certain design principles (especially to clients). I've had professors who have had less luck describing these same concepts. Each episode is short, yet very concise. A great podcast for those with an interest in design.
