Club bangers, high-concept artist albums, all night long sessions and wide-ranging DJ mixes - UK talent Leon Vynehall can do it all. More than just a producer, he is a thinker who likes to explore beyond the usual limits: in the past, he's served up novellas and short films to complement his music. His most recent album, 2025's In Daytona Yellow, centred around human voices and embraced real vulnerability. This week's mix takes a similarly thoughtful approach. It was, he says, assembled like an album with an underlying musical narrative loosely themed around 'humanity'. In between the selections are soundbites collected and sampled from across the internet, including "people speaking on art and their practices, commentary about our interaction with modern culture, philosophy, etc. The songs, even though they're electronic, feel overtly 'human'. Music that feels like it's breathing with groove, moments that feel harmonious, some more jagged, and an emotiveness the creators translate through their tools–it could be in the texture of the samples they use or the atmosphere the songs inhabit."

Toronto's Ciel has never stuck to one sound, but what she plays is united by "various shades of dub-influenced electronic music." That is true of Slowburn, the party dedicated to slow chuggers that she has run since 2021, but also the music she's released on plenty of influential labels and the sets she plays across the world. The tempos, the timbre and texture might change as she traverses dreamy downtempo, wiggly tech house or psychedelic techno, but the warmth and sense of atmospheric pressure never do. This week's mix is about representing all of that in one ambitious two-hour trip, including forthcoming Ciel tracks and releases from the Parallel Minds label she co-runs. "The different styles I play share more in common than what is immediately perceivable to the average listener. I wanted to show both sides of myself in a way that would truly and completely represent my sound," she says of the immersive selections. "Guitars and sub bass and big wiggly snares - this mix really goes the distance!"

New Delhi-raised, Bali-based DITA steps up to our podcast series with a mix of wonderfully loose and elastic rhythms drawn from her own unique colleciton. There's a steamy tropical heat to everything, from the dubby grooves to the electro-tinged breaks, breezy house and 90s rave throwbacks, all mixed with great control. It's a colourful glimpse into DITA's world in 2026, full of new finds and old favourites that reflect years of musical influences. The mix arrives as DITA's international profile continues to grow, having established herself as a resident at Potato Head Beach Club in Bali. Her contagious selections span breaks, house, disco, and beyond. You can catch them for yourself when DITA plays her home club for Dekmantel x Potato Head at the end of this month.

Amsterdam-based Hervé's endless curiosity for finding and sharing music takes him into all sorts of interesting in-between worlds. Groove and subtle progression, psychedelic swirls and deep bass are ever-present no matter where he heads, including Lentekabinet last year. As a producer, he keeps things layered and introverted, and beyond the decks he co-runs a label, event space and creative agency that help the scene to thrive. This week's mix was recorded at home in one take, on a sunny Saturday morning, and reflects the records Hervé has carried this summer while "channelling the energy that I shared and received". The mixing is smooth as silk, with deep, cerebral rhythms making way for more steamy sounds that spin out into more freeform acid, percussive and heavier sound worlds.

Now Amsterdam-based, Naone was shaped in her native South Korea. Her bottomless knowledge of 90s and 00s house and techno informs the sets she plays, particularly at the No Clubs events she is closely associated with. Beyond that, she heads up the Down2Earth label and expresses herself with productions that fuse ambient textures, acid lines and dubbed-out rhythms. Dekmantel Selectors is a few days away and to get you to the starting line, Naone has dropped 90 minutes of trippy tech house. From wiggy mind-melters to shadowy chuggers and dubby rollers, it's pure heads down dancing material that slowly increases the temperature and gets you in a sweat before you know it. Dasha Rush emerged more than two decades ago but has never settled into one style. From techno sets on the main stage to more intricate experimentalism in the back room via floor-focused 12"s and a soothing ambient full-length, this self-confessed "hyperactive and neurotic" mind continues to ask questions of herself and her audiences. This weekend the FullPanda label head links with Oscar Mulero to close down the UFO stage at Dekmantel, so a mind-altering trip surely awaits anyone in attendance. As a taster before that main course, Rush has served up an hour of what she calls 'cerebral techno'. This deep space odyssey is charged with static, laced with interplanetary pulses and taut with a sense of adventuring into the unknown that keeps you on edge right to the end.

DJs have always had to dig for records, but Nicolas Lutz has taken the search for sound to obsessive new levels. The Uruguayan has spent more than 20 years excavating tunes, labels and artists most of us never knew existed. Genre is largely irrelevant; instead, the My Own Jupiter boss threads his finds into beautifully dark and alluring soundscapes full of mystery and tension. Playing in that way requires great technical skill as well as refined taste, and this week's podcast is further proof that Lutz has both in high supply. For almost two hours here, he navigates stark and moody atmospheres, trippy, stripped-back machine grooves and music that fires both head and body. Techno, breakbeat, IDM and wave all feature, but the outcome is never predictable. And that's exactly where the magic lies.

Ryan Elliott has been woven into the fabric of the underground for two decades. The Detroit native and Faith Beat label head cut his teeth back home before relocating to Berlin in 2009, where he became a core member of the Berghain and Ostgut Ton family that helped shape the sound of the contemporary scene. He has always straddled the house and techno divide, merging moods and rhythms from each into his own immersive soundscapes. Not long after a 12-hour, all-vinyl set at Berghain to mark his 50th birthday, Elliott has now selected an hour of "old, new, rare and unreleased music" and rolled it into a typically smooth selection for us. Warm, fulsome low ends underpin a cool, unhurried mix that slowly dials up the pressure with passionate vocals and playful rhythms. It's the sound of a real master at work.

Techno heavyweights Function and Nastia Reigel first came together over a shared love of early, rave-leaning and transcendental grooves. After months swapping tunes from both the old and the new school, they got to work in the studio and, in May, dropped their Devocion EP on Dekmantel. The four tracker explores broody and melancholic techno that is doused in emotion with plenty of shadowy atmosphere and deep rolling rhythms. Off the back of that, they have now put together a mix that explores this world even further with tracks from the likes of Donato Dozzy and Regis, plus two from their own EP. The drums are quick and the mixing is tight as the pair seamlessly traverse sounds that veer from the futuristic to the psychoactive. It's colourful techno that goes way beyond pure body music.
