I love Simon’s show - his snarkiness and cussing is right up my alley. My caveat - WHY ARE THE COMMERCIALS SO LOUD!?!? They’re much louder than everything else.

I really like the titles of the content, however, whether it be the language/accent barrier and/or the sound, I cannot understand what he is saying. I have tried many times. I have to constantly adjust my volume, either he is speaking too softly for me to hear or it’s too loud. I finally have to give up.

I have listened to every single one of these and even ventured into Casual Criminalist. Simon is fantastic and this show should be daily!! (That is not a reasonable request, but it would make me happy.)

Love how Simon reads other people’s work and says funny off the cuff comments. With him being British, he doesn’t understand a lot of American references, which is hilarious. Do with the volume matched of the commercials.

I understand people have differences in opinions and beliefs but blatantly mocking people or what they believe in is in poor taste. Everything seems well researched and I commend the writers for their work.

Turn up your microphone. Be louder than the commercials.

DTU is my favorite podcast full stop. The format is fun, mostly lighthearted and it gives Whistler the best space to riff and tangent to his hearts content. I always look forward to a new episode.

I love the show, BUT the times, and way, they mention Joe Rogan and Graham Hancock says to me that they are going on the second and third hand accounts. Someone who actually listened to either would not portray them the way this podcast does, like a couple of wackadoodles. Makes me wonder what else is being misrepresented. BUT no hard feelings, I still enjoy the show.

I have listened to most episodes multiple times. I like the format of Simon reacting in real time as he reads. And while some reviewers knock him for being too skeptical or opinionated, that’s what makes it so entertaining for me. It’s also a way for me to learn about conspiracy theories and the holes in them in case someone I know falls for them.

easily my favorite podcast show along with the host’s casual criminalist series. i very much enjoy how it dives very deep into each story and gives us the theories and also facts.

Love the show it’s definitely in my top ten podcasts and no matter what anyone says keep at it with the tangents it’s a big part of why I love the show.

I find myself very captivated by these types of stories and conspiracies(?). I normally hear these things from full blown believers or people who are skeptics. But never full blown deniers! Now I know he sometimes doesn’t completely diss them but 99% of the time he does. I don’t think this is necessarily a bad thing. It gives us the chance to see everyone’s views. I disagree with his views a lot but I still find it entertaining and engaging! So yes, this podcast does have a very strong opinion on things that may be offensive, but it’s still good! Just maybe tone it down on the full blown name calling, maybe?

It took 2 1/2 episodes to find the show insufferable. The host has an air of intellectual superiority (everything he doesn’t think is true or possible is “silly”) yet, for a professional podcast host, mispronounces words. What a silly reader.

I have only listened to 1 ep from this show. It was without a doubt the worst podcast I have ever heard. Wild swings in volume causing me to constantly adjust the dial was only a small part of the problem. The host’s attitude and mockery of the topic which they chose to explore was very off putting. Yes it was a wild and far out premise but to come out of the gate smugly chuckling about it prior to actually navigating through the story made this listen completely pointless and not at all entertaining. If at the end the host picked holes in the story, fine. To presume to have all the answers before the questions were even asked made me immediately dislike the the hosts. The swings in audio quality and volume was nearly unbearable. Terrible show.

Every time I see a new episode ( I have listened to pretty much every episode so far) I get excited! It’s enjoyable to hear in the back ground while doing chores . It’s got plenty of humor and the writers are very in depth with their research and analysis on the topic and Simon’s tangent to the subject or random off topic conversation with the audience is very entertaining. I recommended it to my wife and my friends and they now are hooked. I do think this is one of the few podcasts on Apple that has earned and deserves a 5 star rating. Make sure to watch them on YouTube as well if you have the opportunity.

I’m joking. The reason I’m giving this 2 stars is because this knob believes that the universe came from nothing, but trashes Christianity. Yeah, believing something actually put the universe in motion is so much crazier than believing it just came out of nowhere. Other than him whining about Christianity every other episode, he’s fairly entertaining. That’s why I’m giving him 2 stars. When you believe you are the highest power in the universe, you will eventually have a massive downfall. Maybe one day he can get over his hatred for religion, specifically Christianity.

I love everything Simon Whistler does! I highly recommend this podcast, his other podcast “The Casual Criminalist”, and all 300+ of his YouTube channels! (lol) I especially love his witty interjections and the tangents he goes off on.

Interesting show! But it is way too quiet even on full volume and he talks way too fast to understand sometimes. I keep thinking it is sped up. But if those things are handled it would be great!! Content is very interesting!

I’ve been following Simon on YouTube for a long time and I’m glad that I found a podcast!! He’s AWESOME! And his voice is so calming!

Would be a great show if Simon was not so disrespectful. Great research but very rude opinions are fine and sometimes he’s hilarious .

Always fascinating and entertaining! I love the semi-dialogues that Simon has with his different writers, and how I can often tell who has written a particular script based off of the subject or the writing style. Hey Kevin, maybe you should do a “True or False?”-style script in conjunction with some of the others, where Simon has to guess who wrote the story based off of their style and comments. Sadly, it’s obvious that Jenn hasn’t been the editor for this podcast lately, because the sound levels have been becoming absolute garbage. I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear Simon, and then ads deafen me. In one recent episode, some “background” music was so suddenly loud that I had trouble hearing Simon. I know that Jenn can’t always keep up with Simon’s update speed between this and CC, but maybe hire someone with similar talents to her? I love this podcast, I don’t want it to go downhill.

Can one of Simons amazing writers give us another episode on The Presidents and their families and their messes. There is still all kinds of info to share and would love to hear Simons comments on all of it!!

I love the way he trashes Christianity. These Christian crybaby’s can’t take criticism and need to learn to take it. Keep it up. However I do think his levels need to be adjusted. I can barely listen to him in a semi noisy environment because he’s too low and then the ads come on and it’s insanely loud because of how high I have to turn up the volume to hear him.

I haven’t gotten past the first 10 mins of the episode but I do know that the shift wouldn’t be cataclysmic it would take thousands of years from start to finish. In addition to this it wouldn’t be geographic it is magnetic the only difference that our 3rd Stone Age decedents would see is our compasses would point in the opposite direction of geographic north. Another difference is that sometime in the future most of NA and some of Asia would see the Auroras for a few millennia. The poles have already shifted for example the North Pole is slightly closer to Canada than it was a million years ago. Now I am at ~15-20mins and yeah my point still stands.

I love almost every show. Simon’s wit and narration are always great. I look forward to each new episode.

Please adjust your gain, it’s way lower than the ads and when the ads come on I am deafened. Other than that, Simon is legend. A legend that has now made me deaf, taking off 1 star per ear.

This show is very informative and usually generally entertaining. I’m not usually one to bother about people downing organized religion but it seems that Simon is overly disgusting towards Christianity. I understand his non-belief but it’s borderline grossly disrespectful the way he goes on to mock Christianity and it’s prominent figures. I generally like Simon as a personality and the content is usually entertaining but his overboard approach to Christianity (as opposed to any other religious viewpoint) has driven away at least this listener.

I’ve loved pretty much every show I've watched where Simon presents and this on e is no different. The only complaint I have is how much louder the ads seem to be than the show.

Simon, I LOVE the content of this show. Can’t get enough of it. But lately your voice is super low and the background music is louder, and the ads are even louder. Please fix the mixing on this.

This podcast is amazing! Simon and his team of writers are endlessly entertaining … i could keep going but why are you reading this?!! Go listen to ANY of his podcasts, you won’t be disappointed. To paraphrase Christopher Wallace: If you didn’t know, now you know … follow Simon ASAP

Long time listener but lately the audio mixing has been borderline unlistenable! Far too loud and chimey music and simons voice is too quiet to hear. You have to drive up the volume which really makes the music deafening

Just shovel these episodes into your ears and be a cool person. Or kick rocks loser!

Love all of your content. But on the podcasts the audio is off. The baker street robbery music was too loud. Couldn’t finish it.

The most recent episodes have had several obtrusive audio editing errors, including an episode getting reposted under the name of the newest episode, an error that has since been fixed, but took several days to resolve. There have also been incidents with extremely loud background music that obscured Simon’s voice, occasionally with the music being very tonally mismatched with the subject matter. I absolutely love the format Simon uses as a presenter, and am an avid listener of both this show and The Casual Criminalist, but it’s getting harder to listen to the episodes at all.

Love the show, but even on YouTube, the audio mixing has gotten progressively worse. On podcast, it’s unlistenable. Fix soon. Before you lose listeners.

Does this show even have an editor or audio engineer? The show has always been much quieter than all other semi-professional media, but this episode’s random polka music that completely obscures the monologue is really quite embarrassing.

I love this show, when I can hear it. Lately the back ground music has been louder than Simon so I can’t listen to the content. Very frustrating as I enjoy this show a lot. I enjoy the tangents and the mysteries.

This Cloud10, or whatever, constantly loses the ability to stream the podcast. Multiple times a week while every other pod I’m subscribed to works Cloud10 pods just stop being able to stream.

I love how you just can’t take any sort of fantasy seriously. It honestly gives me life as I’m the opposite. I adore fantasy so listening to your no nonsense approach is a fresh approach. Keep it up, friend!
