Wieke van Oordt liftte als eerste per boot een rondje Nederland.
Ze schreef daarover een serie in het NRC, een boek -Steigerjunkie- en maakte er een voorstelling over. Daarnaast is de oorspronkelijke kinderboekenschrijver, columnist van Zeilen magazine en schreef ze 'Vrouwen kunnen niet zeilen'.
Na ruim honderd keer opstappen, is ze nu schipper van haar eigen zeilboot. Een Beneteau First 26.
Elke aflevering gooit ze de microfoon een paar minuten open, zodat je kunt horen wat er op dat moment in de kajuit, het voordek of op de steigers gebeurt. Even luistervinken? Dat kan hierrrrr.
