Missed opportunity with the nursing podcast
I was so excited to tune in to the podcast “They don’t teach that in nursing school”. The first episode missed the mark INCREDIBLY. It involved a nurse practitioner, which is not a “nurse” in the way it was intended. True, she is a nurse, but being a nurse and a provider are completely different mind sets and dynamics. Thankfully, the rest of the episodes hit the mark. I especially loved the bullying episode because it involved how different nurses handled the situation. The choice of host seemed odd. A brand new nurse to lead a nursing podcast? She seemed very professional, and I’m sure she’s a great person, but her voice was difficult to listen to. Hate to mention that, but voice is pretty important when it comes to picking someone you’re going to listen to.

I Love the insight this gives me to how doctors think.

Season 5 = why people hate doctors
Each episode I’ve listened to so far in season 5 had started and ended with “This podcast is intended for healthcare professionals only.” SO ARROGANT! Seasons 1-3 were excellent, educational and interesting. Season 4 was boring because it included only a few case studies. It strayed from being “a podcast about how doctors think.” Season 5 turned me off immediately because of the arrogant statement quoted above. I hope season 6 will return to the way this podcast used to be.

I could be addicted to this it’s like a tv show I learned and remember so much. I remember things so much with the drama and the build up. I’ve been able to bring them up in the wards and everything

Where have you gone?
I LOVE this podcast. It's packed with interesting stories that aren't dumbed down for the listener. My only question is, where have you gone? Are you planning to continue to produce it?

Interesting, but...
Interesting content, presented well. Unfortunately their tag line excludes all the other healthcare professionals that use their app and says it’s a “knowledge sharing app for doctors” which is pretty disappointing.

Love it!!
This podcast had me hooked from the first episode. I loved hearing all of the stories of amazing and life threatening situations that were overcame with critical thinking skills. I also appreciated the fact that they stayed true to medical terminology and diagnoses without over-simplifying the material to reach a broader audiance. As a healthcare professional, I highly enjoyed this series and look forward to hearing more in the future.

Love it!
In love with this podcast! Can’t wait for more more! Another idea is to do a podcast or include stories in this podcast in the vain of the “Diagnosis” hard-to-solve medical studies that are featured in the NYT Magazine.

Another!
This is fantastic; I binged it all in one sitting. Well-produced and interesting, compact and easily digestible. I wish there were more of it!

Can’t get enough!
I absolutely love these podcasts and am on the edge of my seat for more. They are engaging, interesting, educating, and inspiring. I learn best via story telling so these cases stand out in my mind and make it easier to remember various diseases and differentials. Thanks for launching this podcast and can’t wait for new episodes!

Enjoyable for non-healthcare workers too
I'm really enjoying this podcast My spouse is an IM doctor (I am not in the healthcare field), and we've had fun discussing each podcast. Looking forward to more. I like the short runtime of the podcast as well - plenty of info packed into the ~10 minutes.

A must for all medical track students!!!
I’ve honestly have not had the time to watch my favorite medical shows because I am constantly on the go and on the road. I’ve discovered this podcast and now this is all I listen to along with other supplementary MCAT preps when I’m driving!!! It definitely includes a lot of psych and sociology concepts found in clinical settings that can be a great study material for the MCAT in my opinion and of course just for the pure educational and entertainment with the ease of just one press of a button! Very clear and concise in their explanations. Highly recommend!

Great stories
Love this - I’m a nurse in the PACU and sometimes find that I have to “troubleshoot” with patients who are still sedated, so this is very helpful 👍🏼

Love it!
I'm currently a second year med student and I've been searching for a podcast like this for a while now. As soon as Figure 1 sent out an email saying they made a podcast, I was on board. DDx manages to keep each episode short & sweet while also being very interesting and informative. It's perfect for my drive to class or while I'm taking a break from studying. Can't wait for more episodes!

Fantastic idea and execution!
I love this podcast. It’s concise and well-done and wildly interesting. If you love nonfiction medical shows, definitely listen. If you don’t, you should listen too! Wish it was a daily podcast!

Exactly what I've been looking for!
I've been wanting a podcast of physician stories from their work that also doesn't "dumb down" the medical terminology/knowledge too much. It's awesome to see how quickly these doctors have to think on their feet and appreciate that they're willing to share these stories. Love this podcast so far and can't wait for more!
