The clip used for the Murdaugh hearing was misleading. The judge was primarily calling out the defense team. Either report fairly and accurately or play the whole clip. You should be ashamed at that bit of reporting that doesn't tell the whole truth.

I’ve enjoyed this podcast since it launched, but lately Andrea Canning seems to be hosting fewer and fewer episodes. I completely understand that people take vacations and have lives outside of work, but the podcast is so closely associated with her that the constant rotation of substitute hosts has become frustrating. The most recent episode was difficult to listen to, and I couldn’t finish it. I miss the consistency that made me subscribe in the first place.

Come on…. It’s Alex Murdaugh, not Alec Murdock.

I pay not to hear ads on any Dateline show. Why was the latest episode filled with ads?

I’m hearing ads, too. What’s up? I’m set for auto-renewal….

I’m paying for the subscription and my latest true crime weekly episode is full of commercials. The whole point of paying for the subscription was not to have commercials

Why am I hearing ads on my paid subscription? 😑

Love the podcast & look fwd to each week’s current true crime cases… but PLEASE stop pronouncing Mario as Mary-O! Hahahaa I cannot take it seriously.

Amazing reporting! A great way to keep up with true crime news

I usually like keeping up with the latest, despite some questionable and unnecessary guests like Dennis Quaid. But the latest “round-up” segment highlighting interrogation techniques was absolutely disgusting. You should have called it “How to get a confession, true or not.”

Can you make a folder with all of the sean combs episodes in order from first the last?

I’ve been enjoying listening until a couple incidents made me unfollow recently…do better Dateline. Carol Gable’s reporting on the Colucci retrial was one-sided and pro-defendant like she’s hoping for an exclusive interview with Michael the accused murderer. Sara Lynn and her daughter deserve better. This makes me question all your other “reporting.” Then Chloe reporting on the note she read over one of Sean Comb’s daughter’s shoulder was completely ICK!!!!

Who is this Carol who misreported the Calucci case? This is an egregious failure on the part of dateline. Makes you look biased. Or incompetent. I think both. Not cool Carol. Boo on you. And shame.

I can’t believe I heard Andrea Canning say “it must be hard hearing all these bad things about you” in regard to Ditty. So gross.

Love the daily updates on Combs trial. It’s like an espresso shot of court TV. Great job Andrea.

They push all episodes to the main Dateline show because apparently this one can’t stand on its own. So why follow it? Also, enough with the Combs overkill. Unfollowing.

He’s disgusting and not what I want to hear about. Bring back the actual true crime news. Love Andrea!

Excellent, concise recaps of the trial each day. Appreciate all the info and important happenings filtered into short episodes (esp since it's not on TV) 🙏

Andrea is such a talented reporter and storyteller! I love her approach on Dateline—she asks the necessary tough questions! Love this podcast because of how she educates while making it easy to keep up with current court proceedings.

So listen “it must’ve been so hard for Jen McCabe” …???? I love you guys, but this is really biased in my opinion if this is supposed to be just reporting and ….Jen McCabe is probably one of least sympathetic people I’ve ever seen in a courtroom.

So nice to have a roundup of the latest true crime stories every week. Plus, Andrea is the true crime QUEEN 👑

I love Andrea. She never talked this fast before though! I actually have to turn it off sometimes when she and her guest are both talking so fast. It’s like those disclaimers you here at the end of an ad! Can you calm it down?

Condensing major court case updates once a week. It’s also helping me quit my Court TV addiction. *phew*

The episodes duplicate between this weekly show and datelines normal show. No use having two of the same episode. Unsubscribing.

Love the weekly updates!!

When you allow magat Dennis Quaid on to your podcast then I’m out.

I wake up Thursdays and open my podcast app and say yessss when I see true crime weekly in the feed. Andrea is very likable. And it’s great to get a break down of crime news across the country. Reading my local news doesn’t give me the PDiddy updates I need. Thanks!

I will admit I was hesitant to start listening to these, preferring usually one storyline, however I’m the first to admit I was wrong. Very interesting and informative. Gives you a taste of future episodes to come

Love this podcast, it’s an extra dose of Dateline!! Dateline has the best hosts!! Side note: Just listened to episode #36 and heard a very common mistake when discussing the various types of pleas. It’s not called an “Alfred” plea, it’s Alford. 😁

Just discovered this podcast, and loving it!

I am a huge Dateline fan and have listened to this podcast since it’s upset inception, but no more. The final straw for me was when the Delphi reporter breathlessly related defense, conspiracy theories (i.e. phone jack) without providing the prosecution’s counter to those theories. The reporting on this case has been horrendous. Bye.

I love this podcast. It’s great!!! But what is the point of following this podcast when it’s put into the Dateline feed. This is a general complaint I have about all Dateline related podcasts. They double and triple up in my feed. Drives me absolutely nuts.

If you’re going to suddenly put all the episodes in the dateline feed, why would I subscribe here? Now my podcast player wants to play each episode twice, one here and one in the dateline feed. Stay in your feed. 1 star for being annoying and messing up my playlist.

So I guess I can unsubscribe to this podcast since they are also available on the Dateline podcast resulting in listening to the episode twice. Great show!

Can we please, as women, agree to not participate in rape culture by referring to confirmed abusers & accused traffickers by their pet names and other nicknames or terms other then “the accused” or Mr. So & So? Because anything else trying to lessen or soften their crimes to protect an image is not only disgraceful, it’s disingenuous reporting of facts and neglect of duty to the victims. This report focused not on the horrific reports of TRAFFICKING MINORS but instead went on and on about slapping and hair pulling on a former girlfriend. Not that that abuse is any better but it certainly avoids the elephant in the room, Andrea. If you won’t (or can’t…thanks NBC) tell the story then don’t bring it up & for God’s sake, don’t do more harm than good by helping push his narrative of being ‘extorted’ by a ‘crazy ex’. This story was nauseating & not for the reporting…for the lack of it. Shame. Do better please. Your voice matters.

You missed two very important tips! When walking alone at night, do not be talking on your cell phone. And do not have headphones on with music in your ears. Your senses need to be on high alert. You need to pay attention to the sound of footsteps behind you or seeing someone lurking behind a tree or loitering in front of your building. Keeping your door locked is hugely important, whether you live on or off-campus.

Fentanyl. It’s not FentanALL. And please, it’s lie down. You should know better.

i’ll be honest: I listen to lots of true crime podcasts. Some are not worth my time, and they are deleted from my library quite quickly. But you could always trust dateline to produce something worth listening to. Their insights, quality of research, and thoughtful delivery of content are all apparent in every single episode. Whatever it is, if it’s produced by dateline, you’re assured quality. I also love the camaraderie and repartée between the journalist who covered these cases.

Episode from 8/01/24 They talked about an officer that shot and killed an unarmed black woman, Sonya Massey. They present the case as if the officer was NEVER threatened but completely leave out the part of the situation in which Sonya says: “I rebuke you in the name of jesus!” While holding a pot of boiling water and does not immediately put it back down. That feels VERY threatening to me. Regardless of the officers past digressions, this situation felt very justified. HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THE WAY THIS CASE WAS PRESENTED. SHAME ON NBC!

Yes, sign me up to more content from the amazing people at Dateline. Love it.

Love anything Dateline

This is a great edition to the Dateline family to keep me up to date on current cases. And I love the new safety tips.

Enjoying these weekly updates about on going trials and cases. And the intro music slaps. Love it.

I’m so glad you started the week reviews in latest news! As always, love Andrea Canning and her guests. It’s nice when you bring your hard working producers on, too!!

Really enjoying this short weekly update to stay current on developing stories & trial updates. As always Andrea is the best & it’s been nice hearing from other people on the Dateline team who are typically more behind the scenes.

I love the bite sized, relevant stories! Can’t wait for next week!

If it’s Dateline I’ll always listen. They know what they’re doing.

Please make Nate Eaton a regular guest! He is the best!

Great addition to my podcast list. I’ll listen anytime it involves Nate Eaton from East Idaho News

A good addition to the Dateline lineup.
