Thank you for yours & Heather Heying’s informative & fun podcasts. This one was odd. It reminds me of 2019 & my need to sort out Covid ‘experts’. I chose to avoid the shot partly because of interviews where ‘experts’ substantiated their opinion by overreaching into unknowns—and when it was apparent that the interviewer had little experience in the subject matter. Guns: Reading about guns vs living around them, cleaning them, and hunting much of my life tipped me to who controlled the interview. Guns require enough respect to know how dangerous and unpredictable the results of firing one can be. Interview someone who knows enough to be very very reluctant to speculate.

Bret’s visit with Jowl Salatin is a conversation every person should hear. Please bring Joel back on again!

I was a big fan during Covid, but Brett has lost his way when it comes to Charlie Kirk. Candace Owens is such an obvious liar, sad that he doesn’t see it.

I can not believe the lengths Viva is going to to give reasoning for so many issues on this. It’s LOUD.

I listen to a lot of podcasts and a lot of different genres. I listen to comedy podcasts from comedians who make me laugh, but have horrible takes when they try to talk about serious matters I listen to history, podcasts, I listen to food podcasts, I listen to pop culture podcasts… But Bret and Heather are the Gold standard for when I wanna think about serious things in a serious adult way. They appeal to the best in you, and their journeys are amazing. Their stories are fascinating and their takes are pretty much spot on across the board.

I stepped away for awhile, but now I find Bret and Heather consistently on the insightful side of the issue. Refreshing podcasts are here!

So glad I discovered Bret from his many appearances on the JRE podcast (especially during the COVID years). The dynamic between him and Heather is wonderfully strong, and mentally helps restores my faith in humanity. I’m an atheist, but still appreciate this podcast’s sentiment towards human health. THANK YOU for all the work you two do!

A variety of topics are discussed in this podcast, keeping me entertained and informed. Heather and Bret’s chemistry is fantastic. They’re pleasant to listen to. Heather has a wonderfully calming voice and speaks with confidence. I love them both and will continue to be a loyal listener. I would be thrilled if Heather were to start a podcast on her own where she primarily speaks on feminism and the challenges biological women face with our muliebrity being redefined. We need thoughtful, eloquent voices, like Heather’s, to be amplified.

As a lover of science and conservative Christian in a day age that it’s not socially acceptable I love to be able to hear a voice reason coming from a standpoint of trying to understand the world as we see it both from a scientific lens and making sense of the underlying actions going on around us. I look forward to hearing about news with an aspect of research and viewpoint stemming from the scientific field.

Calm intelligent discourse on what are often terrifying subjects. I imagine being a student in class with either doctor would have been one I'd have always been pleased to attend.

If you need a laugh, listen to these two “experts” explain how their specific ideology is supported by their interpretation of the data. Actually, they’re not even funny. It’s just a sad money-grab trying to use “science” and a teacher voice to pacify those dumb enough to listen.

So nice to listen to intelligent people’s views on world events, politics & nature. Don’t have to always agree with what they say, but so nice to hear an opinion and an explanation as to how they came to that conclusion/opinion on said topic

No conspiracy theory is too banal to be repackaged as a revolutionary idea by this rambling pair. They should leave the house more!

And Heather’s war too. Both naively campaigned for Trump. You foolishly believed in Vance and Hesgeth and Tulsi. Unfortunately while Biden was strong enough to stand up to Netanyahu to keep us out of war with Iran, Donald Trump is too weak to stand up to Netanyahu.

This is one of my favorite podcasts. I don’t agree with everything they say, but then, who ever is in complete agreement with another person? Love their different perspectives and the way they talk to their audience like we’re as educated as they are. Love it!

I listened several times, one in particular all I discovered was they drink coffee. Other than that, it was rambling nonsense. And heather needs to stop saying, ‘and the’…It’s unreal how much she says that. Just give us facts and not opinions on what you think. We have enough of that with RFK Jr.

This used to be a reliable place for rigorous and candid thought. These days they seem to be placating the right leaning side of their audience, mostly by avoiding subjects that would force them to confront their past decisions.

Loved the recent episode where Heather held Brett accountable for manosphere rhetoric. It was a breath of fresh air actually hearing heterodox discourse. It’s hard to listen to Brett always spinning things to a positive light for Trump these days. I mourn the old Dark Horse

My views on evolution and creation are COMPLETELY different than Brett and Heather, not to mention most things to do with personal beliefs. BUT, I am so thankful that B & H are so respectful of my beliefs while simultaneously disagreeing with them. I thank you both for this. I’m so sick and tired of people in every single profession, like Hollywood, education, media, and especially evolutionary sciences being downright evil to people who believe in the God of the Bible and creation. I love how the couple isn’t prepared for some of the media and topics they present. It makes me laugh in an endearing way as I know some doctors and scientists, and they all seem to have this problem. I can’t stop listening to them as I’m fascinated by the way they have followed the truth and basically thrown out the dis logic of most of the people of their level of intellect and especially their fellow educators. I’ve found that they give me hope in people on the left, and that there is in fact a chance for some of them. I TOTALLY love how nerdy they are too. Wow! What a fantastic interview. Raw honesty. Thank you for that Bret and Ben. So much has changed with the sexes. I am SO grateful to be married to a wonderful man; dating today sounds terrifying. For the past 30 or so years Feminism has become a male-denigrating force. As a “60 something” woman, I’ve seen the shift go from semi-useful to destructive. I jumped ship on feminism in my early thirties but it was hard to shake some of the lies I told myself. I hope that we figure out how to work together one of these days!

As a coastal Ecuadorian I can tell you that we do not have a “sha” sound when saying words with the double l. People in the Sierra region, however, do. There is a big divide between the two regions, you should look into it. Thank you both for your insight. — Maria

Literally went from one of Bret’s extremely interesting interviews on Diary Of A CEO to your most recent episode (10/15/25)….my god, I’m 27 minutes into the episode and you’re talking about the intracacies of blood flow to a mildly injured achilles tendon? To someone brand new, not in your inner circle of fans….1000% turnoff when I was interested in hearing what you both had to say on other topics. Please, for the love of all things in the universe…get to the verb, it’s not cute. I truly mean this in the most constructive of criticism, I wanted to hear what you had to say, but after 15 minutes of fumbling promo spots and then another stream of conscious dialogue….I had to tap out.

They’ve earned their keep by concisely describing two problems : the Cartesian Crisis and the distinction between complicated and complex systems.

You knew him! You were impacted by his character and hope for our country. Thank you for continuing to fan the flames of hope while showing kindness.

I stumbled upon Bret and Heather during the Covid tyranny, and I’ve loved listening to their Podcast ever since. While I may not agree with everything they say, they always make me think. They are incredibly intelligent, interesting, and articulate. Their topics are always intriguing. Please keep up the wonderful work!

I am a physician scientist and thought this would be an interesting podcast to listen to. However these two have absolutely no idea what they are talking about when it comes to medicine. They are conspiracy theorists. It’s sad frankly. Unfollowing and not listening to this craziness.

I think it’s funny that highly educated people such as yourselves think that the pentagram symbol is “evil”. What century are you living in? Do some research. I’ve listened to your podcast of and on for a few years now and have even bought your book. That part of your conversation in episode 292 was just dumb. I don’t even care that you were trying to paint a picture of the dumb person you were talking about, just makes you sound as uneducated.

Go back and look at the podcasts right after the 2024 election. Look at the one about Kennedy hearings and MAHA. They got almost everything wrong. Do not trust this absurd extreme opinion masquerading as some centrist informed thought.

I absolutely LOVE this podcast. Hosted by two brilliant scientists whom have an incredible chemistry with each other. They even have interesting sponsors and get their endorsements out of the way early in the program so they can concentrate on the content of their show. I will likely be a long term fan and listener. *UPDATE* I really wish there was more I could do to support and promote this show. These guys are so principled and intelligent and entertaining. 11:10

Unfortunately Brett and Heather sold out to be right wing partisans instead of upholding scientific literacy and go out of their way to shelter their “audience” from any critical thinking unless it’s about the woke left. They have avoided being critical of the right and now we have extremism on the rise (political assassinations) and the all out war on truth and belief in conspiracies and feelings over facts. No respect for two grifters who, when were needed most to be non partisan and use their scientific backgrounds for good they dug in and supported everything science used to oppose (ideology, conspiracies, tribalism).

“Disillusioned” former “leftist” professors fighting against the various isms intent on destroying our great nation. That’s what this pair is peddling. Another reactionary cash grab. Lots more money to be made trashing the academy than being a part of it.
