Dr. Richard Sztramko practices Geriatric and Internal Medicine at St. Peter’s and Juravinski Hospitals in Hamilton, Ontario. He is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University. He is the co- founder of Arya EHR (Electronic Health Record) and Handover, a cutting-edge health tech company rapidly expanding throughout Canada in hospitals and outpatient clinics. Jordan Vollrath is a recently graduated family physician. He did his medical school at the University of Alberta before completing his residency at the University of Calgary in 2019. He worked exclusively as a locum engaging in a wide variety of practices including both rural and urban before co-founding Cherry Health in 2020.  Cherry Health:  Founded in 2020 to fill the obvious gap with how physicians find locums - rather than the traditional web-based locum portals which have proved ineffective year after year, we decided to move to a mobile app based platform. This makes it more portable, flexible and with significantly better engagement. We also saw a huge problem in the traditional business model which charges a fee for finding locum placements so we designed Cherry to be free for users which has lead to a rapid uptake and larger audience meaning the whole system just works better. Anita Kaur joins us today to share the mental health challenges she has faced due to the current pandemic. Anita is a recent university graduate and has been working from home due to COVID-19 since March. During this time, she began experiencing worrying physical symptoms which her doctor believed were caused by anxiety. Although she was initially skeptical, Anita noticed her physical symptoms gradually disappeared after she began managing sources of psychological stress in her life.
