The LEGION ACT authorized an extension of our current "wartime" status, mostly including the Cold War veterans who had been left out. That's been corrected. Was this correction needed? Our Veterans Service Organizations are great at connecting veterans to their earned benefits...at no cost, by the way. That's just one piece of the pie, though. Our Membership and Programs troubles are complex, and this episode focuses on just one "value add" we can apply to our membership that would benefit both the veteran and the organization. On top of that, it can complete the pie! :) Mmmmm...pie. "If they ain't working; It ain't working"

I really don't like the current state of meetings in veteran organizations. I have ideas. I don't think they are controversial, other than it's not the way we've always done it. This is a problem that must be talked through and fixed. It's a pain point and I'm not the only one disliking meetings. This episode is less than 10 minutes, even though I could talk on this subject...for hours. Seeking feedback on my "solutions" and what else you might do. So, I've been thinking. There's been some over arching thing that's missing from out Veterans Service Organization. It boiled down to one keyword that I extended into an extended piece that was part rant and part illustrating what I meant. I know attention spans are short, but I think I might really be on to something to save our orgs as well as helping our veterans and our communities. Did you guess where I was going?
