Welcome to Daily Bread for Busy Moms, a daily Bible reading podcast from Israel.
Each day, we journey through the Scriptures together by following the weekly Torah portion one section at a time, along with readings from the Prophets, Writings, and Apostolic Scriptures. In just one year, you'll read through the Bible while following the biblical calendar and feast cycle.
As we approach the beginning of a new reading year on Simchat Torah, we're excited to announce that the brand-new Daily Bread Journal is now available! Every year, a completely new journal is created for the upcoming reading cycle, and this year's journal will guide us through the Scriptures beginning October 4.

Reading the Torah every day is good ā but what if there's a whole layer underneath you're flying right past? In this first episode of our 4-part series, Lars sits down to talk about what a commentary actually gives you that reading alone can't. He walks through a single line from a portion and shows just how much is happening under the surface ā the Hebrew, the history, the connections most of us miss on our own. A good teacher doesn't replace your reading. He multiplies it.

Somewhere along the way, the church split from its Jewish roots ā and centuries of replacement theology followed. In this second conversation, John unpacks how returning to the biblical calendar is a concrete step back toward the faith as it was first lived by Yeshua's disciples, before that split ever happened.
In part two of this special conversation, John and I dig into the biblical calendar ā what it is, why it matters, and why living by it is more countercultural than most people realize.
We talk about:
What the biblical Hebrew calendar actually is, and how it differs from the calendar most of us grew up with
How replacement theology shaped centuries of the church's relationship to Israel and the Jewish roots of the faith
Why following the biblical calendar is a tangible, daily way to reconnect with those roots
What it might have looked like to live inside this calendar as one of Yeshua's first disciples
How Daily Bread weaves the calendar into your everyday reading, not as a side note but as the framework
This one goes a little deeper theologically ā but it's really about reclaiming something that was always meant to be ours to begin with.
