It is hard to navigate this world as a Christian.  We are to be in the world not of the world.  While in this world we will come across many people who will try to deceive us.  Often times we think of deceivers as people who are out to get us, or hate us, when actually they could be right in front of us.  We need to be diligent, listen to God when people talk, and beware false teachers who will deceive us.  We must also be prayerfully mindful of what we are saying in Jesus’ name to ensure that we are sharing HIS word, not our wishes, with those we encounter.  Join the “It’s That Simple Podcast” for an episode about loving and watching out for false teachings. ‭Are you comfortable in life?  Are you just going through the motions and doing what you need to do carry on and live life?  When we get comfortable, God has a way of getting us out of our comfort zone and into someplace unfamiliar. The church is an interesting place.  People claim to be a member of the church when we should be claiming to be followers of Jesus.  We are too busy being Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics, etc when really we should be Jesus Followers.  In doing so we often get bogged down in religion.  What we need to remember is something amazingly simpler….JESUS is GREATER than religion.  Religion will bog you down, while Jesus will set you free!
