Today we want to distribute our previously created content as well as possible on the Internet. We started by publishing YouTube videos on our channel and then importing those videos to our website through YouTube. Of course, we could also provide our video content via another source, but the very nice advantage of YouTube videos is that you can display the existing subtitles in the respective local language also on your own website. This means that even if someone without English knowledge now opens the corresponding videos on our website, he at least has the possibility to read his own national language as subtitles. I find this a very useful feature and have learned English myself in a similar way. On our website we had already created an RSS feed that can be found on the Google Feedburner platform. And we would like to submit this RSS feed to different portals as a podcast. What is the benefit for us? Quite simply, by distributing our content across the internet there are multiple legitimate sources for the same content and that increases our chances. You can think of it as having multiple tickets in a lottery drum. A few days ago we had already started and registered our podcast on the platform Stitcher. In the meantime, Stitcher has also processed and approved the current episodes and the content from our RSS feed. Great, so our podcast series is already available on Stitcher. Interestingly, you can even find the same podcast twice in the listing. Since the first time I submitted the RSS feed, an error was displayed, I tried again and apparently this resulted in us being listed twice on the same platform. But what is really interesting is the possibility to also get our video content on iPhones and iPads. And that's through the platform for Apple's podcasts. In the past, in order to register a podcast with Apple, you first had to go through cumbersome procedures with the iTunes program. But in the meantime, the major corporation has learned and there is a website where you can easily submit your podcast. It is very practical that you can already see and test the content on the website after the first registration. Only if everything is satisfactorily shown you should submit the podcast for approval. The easiest way to submit a podcast is offered by Google. Google has its own podcast platform and there you can add the RSS feed with a few mouse clicks. Since I already have a Google account and Google has figured out that the Feedburner account belongs to it, I don't even have to bother with authentication here. Unfortunately, the submission to the Spotify platform failed for now, as Spotify apparently doesn't accept video content. I find that a bit disconcerting, because after all, in 2022, people are pretty used to video content being part of everyday life. But never mind, we will solve that problem later. One platform that I have totally neglected for the transmission of podcasts in the past is Amazon. Amazon now has various devices that not only talk to their owners and can order eggs for the refrigerator. No, you can also listen to podcasts! And that's why we now submit our podcast episodes via the appropriate website so that they can be displayed on Amazon's listing of Tune In later. Then Alexa can play podcasts for our customers, which is a great idea, right? So we now have the most important platforms for distributing our video content on the Internet taken care of for now. We still have to come up with a solution for the problem with Spotify. Actually, it wouldn't be a big problem to make an additional audio file out of the video files, but every additional production step costs time and that multiplies with the number of videos. We might have to do this anyway, if more platforms only accept audio content. For today, we are more than happy with the results. The infrastructure for our automated distribution is already performing quite well. If you have any questions or suggestions about the content in this video, feel free to email us. We always reply ourselves and usually within 24 hours. That's it for today, we say thank you for your attention and see you in the next video!
