Farewell
Thank you Michael and crew for a great podcast, it has been wonderful hearing you guys on a personal level (as personal as para social relationships get). I loved hearing you guys on my car drives or when I was doing chores. I felt like I was in the room with you guys the whole time. Which was especially helpful to fill the loneliness void during the pandemic. Thank you! đź’™

Big fan of Wisecrack, delighted to find this podcast
Two episodes deep on one car ride as I am flying through podcasts. Really happy to get more insightful commentary from the people who make some of my favorite Youtube videos. The lens in which things are explained is extremely well done and I am eager to listen to more. I would highly recommend this podcast.

I Think You Should Listen to this podcast
Here are the Culture Bingers as sketches from I Think You Should Leave Alec is the Gift Receipt sketch... never afraid to take a calm, nuanced approach when it comes to serious issues Surbhi is Baby of the Year... timeless, lovable, surprising, and capable of controversy Michael is the opening Job Interview... reflective of modern day capitalism, a little chaotic, a little drool coming out the mouth

Brood X Baby!
Love the show 5/5 stars. I live in a state with the Brood X cicadas, so I thought I’d describe the hosts as stages of the cicada life cycle. I did this during a 10-mile hike with too much time to think about it. Alec- the cicada emerging from the ground after 17 years. It all starts here. Eating, growing, doing. the. work. Undervalued, under appreciated. Surbhi- the casing the cicada leaves behind on tree trunks when they molt. They’re really cool to look at and you can sneak them onto people’s clothes when they aren’t looking. Very fun. Might sound terrible, but arguably the best part of the cicada experience. Michael- the mature cicada, screaming from the treetops for love and attention. Peak cicada. All the best!

Love and Happiness
Wisecrack’s Culture Binge Podcast changed my life forever, and it could change yours too! After just three episodes I joined a Crossfit gym, found God, and learned to read Old Slavonic! After a whole season I started receiving acceptance letters from graduate schools I HADN’T even applied to! The mayor gave me the key to the city! Because of Culture Binge I’ve found love in a lonely world, established an enduring inner-peace, and achieved fully realized selfhood! If you’re looking for the keys to the Kingdom, everlasting youth, and eternal joy, well then look no further, friend! Thank you Wisecrack crew! P.S. If the Culture Bringe crew were Criterion films: Michael would be Withnail and I Surbhi would be Rushmore Alec would be The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie

No Michael cred?
Enjoy the podcast very much! I love Alec and Michael, and Serbhi is sweet too! However I don’t like how delicately you discuss certain topics in fear of someone being offended or riled up- i can feel you holding back or tiptoeing around and covering your bunz. Also! No chaps? I don’t care if the world is on fire let me know who’s flesh is searing, we’re adults we can handle some bad junk , a world all happy is boring!

I overcooked my eggs this morning. This podcast made my day better. Thank you.

Maybe a little more culture? (Great Pod)
I really enjoy the podcast, and the hosts are refreshingly chill and easy going. My only complaint is that I wish that there was a little more culture binging on the show and a little less political and contemporary issues talk. Don’t get me wrong, the convos can be great but my head already hurts from listening to the other political podcasts and it can be nice to take a break.

Cast of Cocktails
I heard you say cocktails so I’m going with that. Surbhi: a Hot Toddy, like the drink you have the hot takes of a whiskey, but mixed with honey and hot water it creates a warm and friendly drink. Just like listening to you , you have a warm and friendly persona , which is perfect after a long day. Michael: a Margarita: nothing boring about it and you! The tequila in it is always ready to party and have a good time, much like you, you always bring good vibes to each show making it exciting. Alec: a Black Russian, vodka and coffee liqueur, right to the point and thought provoking, always bringing stimulating topics but not afraid to go into the darker sides of the cultural zeitgeist! That’s what I thought, you guys the best, I’m always look forward to the podcast! Stay safe! Dave

Thank you. Truly.

down to earth and uplifting
This is one of my favorite podcasts when I want to be spending quality time with friends even though I can’t. Helps prompt me to think critically about culture while simultaneously reminding me to appreciate the good things we have and can derive joy from. Seriously cool people.

Shame on you

Keeps me informed and Happy
I love the show and look forward to it always. I love everything wisecrack, please keep up the amazing work. For the inevitable Culture Binge movie I would love to see Gal Gadot as Serbie, Jack Black for Alec and the only person that could me Michael Burns is Sweaty PHD Michael Burns himself. Much appreciated!

Insightful, Funny, and Relevant
Wisecrack is easily one of the best destinations for intelligent readings of everything from movies, TV, and now thanks to Culture Binge, news in the zeitgeist. Culture Binge has become a weekly staple of mine to listen to, and the three hosts Alec (who’s always right), Surbhi (annunciation on poinT), and Michael (Heil Hydrosis) never fail to have insightful, funny, and relevant discussions.
Stratboy101
It’s awesome!
So many great topics to discuss that interest and sometimes terrify you pertaining to the state of the world.
sequojah
Great!
Very interesting topics! Kind of like a culture book report.

The T’s
I can’t stand the way Servi pronounces her t’s. I’ve tried listening but she ruins it for me . Sorry but I don’t think her voice is meant for the airwaves.
stop pronouncing t that way
Dipping in quality.
Due to Jared’s unannounced (and as of yet unconfirmed) departure from the show, Culture Binge has struggled to maintain its focus on in-depth discussion. Without the guiding force of Jared’s direction from topic to topic, the discussion tends to get derailed with attempts at humor and verbose explanations. Surbhi’s perspective adds a fresh and exciting voice to the roster of Wisecrack podcasts, but her contribution alone isn’t quite enough to keep the show up to the standard set by the first couple months of episodes. The more recent couple months has seen this podcast go from my favorite of Wisecrack’s lineup, and one I eagerly awaited every week, to one that sits in my queue for quite a while. I’m writing this review because I still have high hopes for this show and believe it can achieve a triumphant return to form. Much love to the Wisecrack team.

The edge that cuts
This group - Wisecrack - has their collective finger on the pulse of modern society. Extremely enjoyable personalities, and great analysis of current events. Thank you for all that you do.

Great. Too much advertising
When’s Jared coming back?
Radorii
Refreshing
Culture Binge is to general podcasts as Keanu Reeves is to celebrities. In other words: the best. Always excited to hear thoughtful breakdowns of the zeitgeist from the team each week.

Really?
I really enjoy Wisecrack, so I was exited to listen to this podcast. But after listening to the Mindfulness podcast this definitely made me rethink watching anything from Wisecrack again. Listening to three people complain about having access to medical care and other perks at work - rubbed me the wrong way. Most people don’t have access and will never have that type of healthcare. You guys really need to think more about the people you have on your show. Seems like you guys have a diversity problem.

Miss the show
The only acceptable reason there hasn’t been any new culture binge episodes is that y’all are preparing for the debut of your muckbang podcast

Great pop culture podcast!
Very great and informative postcast talking about the latest social tends. Jared, Alec and Surbhi are well rounded hosts that give the listener a good sense of the topic with a philosophical twist to it. Keep up the great work!
JDsuppy
This podcast most definitely slaps.
You know what slaps this week? A new episode of culture binge. You know what chaps this week? There is only one fleeting episode of culture binge. If you don’t understand what I mean, then do yourself a favor and listen to this podcast. It’s hilarious and thought provoking. The best thing I could possibly say, is that even if I disagree with something someone has to say, they say their opinion respectfully and give great reasoning behind their feelings. This podcast is a true joy to listen to and I eagerly wait for it every week. Also, Alec is my spirit animal.

Loving this pod
I love serbis voice lol, but no this pod is very interesting and fun. While also being serious and light hearted with topics the honest opinion of the wise crack crew is refreshing

The best thing wisecrack has ever done
I have listening to wisecrack podcasts and watch the videos on YouTube for quite some time. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to listen or watch everything because I didn’t want to the content they are discussing to be spoiled. It’s amazing to listen to their insightful view on what is going on in the world every week and not have to worry that I won’t know the content. Wisecrack has led me down the philosophy road and I couldn’t be more thankful.

This podcast gives me a raging brainer!
I’m super on the fence about Cats too. On one side of the fence, it’s artsy and beautiful. But on the other side, it is definitely doing too much. I agree that it would look better if it were just people in amazing makeup or just take a super artsy leap and use plain old non cat people! Like black swan, or 10 things I hate about you. I love you guys and the show! Thank you for making it!
rubberbabybubbiebunkers
Love this
I’m amazed at the ability of the wisecrack crew to be so proficient in their explanation and insight on such a diversity of topics. The move from movies, tv and occasional video games etc into the news of the week has not disappointed, and I just hope y’all keep it up!! Also, I’ve been a policy debater for six years and love seeing Alec referencing policy debate :))
Tbine30912
Great, but...
Serbi, please stop stressing your pronunciation of T’s. It’s so distracting it subtracts from the good stuff you’re saying.
carterfleming
I only have one suggestion
Ask Surbhi to pronounce as many words as possible that end in "-ting".

Regulation Explanation
Hey Wisecrack. Love the show. When you guys started discussing regulations of companies, it made me wonder why you guys never covered Chernobyl. While the show on its surface appears to just hate on communism. There is also a subtlety in the discussion of accountability and the balance between stakeholders on accountability. If the government is ultimately accountable for regulating everything, then every mistake is ultimately its fault. However if private corporations and even people are responsible for regulating themselves then we either end up with a tragedy of the commons situation or a disaster like the BP oil spill, or more recently the Boeing 737 situation. This is a major issue in the U.S. regulatory agencies are being short. Funded or barred from pursuing important enforcement activities, or even forced to outsource the work to private companies. So when they look ineffective that just bolsters the argument that regulation doesn’t work. Regulation and accountability is a balancing act. I’m sure there are other films out there that may contrast Chernobyl (maybe the Big short) but I’d be interested in seeing an analysis of this from you guys. Love the show guys! keep it up.

Da Truf!!!!
34 year old black christian mother of 2 boys here: LOVE this show!!!!! My favorite is when Jarred gets a lil snarky!!! Thank GOD for Surbhi bringing female energy & boujee pronunciations cause these boys get a lil cynical! In a world sling-shot between Jakepaul’s wedding on stitcher, the caps melting, and the nonsense that is American politics.... this podcast grounds my heart in sanity, humor, and intrigue! These guys are apart of my weekly curriculum down here in Texas! [And PLEASE do the segment of “What ever happened too...”] Also, I’ve found myself having to switch to the youtube version cause I crave the visuals! KEEP IT UP! GangGang

Totally Slaps
The Wisecrack crew bring their philosophical insights to Politics and Pop Culture. I feel as if they opened up my skull and started massaging my brain with a hundred mini-supersonic robot penis fingers.

You Cannot Unhear It
Slaps: Awesome podcast as with all Wisecrack enterprises. Smart, funny, insightful. Chaps: Surbhi pronounces her Ts in the middle of any word so, so hard.

Interesting People and Topics
Whether it’s an existential crisis, fearing our tech overlords or hoping Surbhi does Mukbang. You’ll really be thinking.

It Slaps!
It’s an amazing showing, with great minds, in friendly conversation about what’s happening now. Definitely worth a listen; it Slaps! What Chaps? Surbhi hasn’t done Mukbang yet! In the words of Nike, “Just do it.”
NAH1982
Bless Wisecrack but Especially this Podcast
This Podcast is the best because it brings back the vibe of listening to radio talk show hosts but the Wisecrack team aren’t idiots and they aren’t slinging garbage. It’s also awesome cause we get the Wisecrack take on various things and not just Podcast specific shows or movies. If you guys could do the phenomenon of women’s soccer being bigger in the us then men’s soccer but not women’s basketball, I think that’d be wildly interesting! Thanks guys for everything and getting me through my job and keeping my introspective and reflective.
