So often we wrestle with the questions of purpose and meaning in the middle of the difficult seasons we might find ourselves in. The pain can even begin to feel unbearable as the weight of our situation simply does not subside. Let me tell you, from experience, that you can ask God all of your ugly, messy and heartbreaking questions and He will respond with truth and peace that can sustain you on the journey. 2020 has been crushing it and not in a good way. Have you felt beat down and beat up by this year? I know that I have. I have been chewing on this thought lately that, maybe the things that are crushing me now actually have a purpose. The pain we endure on this earth and in this season could be preparation for the promised purpose in our future. In this episode I talk about some practical tips and mind shifts to help us navigate the crushing moments that we are experiencing. This crushing may actually be your coronation. You are crowned in the crushing! 

Do you ever get discouraged in the delay? Do you have gift or skill and just cant seem to catch your big break? You can be crowned and anointed but awaiting your appointment. Crown chasing has less to do with what you are waiting on and more to do with how you are waiting. In this episode we talk about just that, how to wait well. The waiting can seem meaningless, but it’s not! While you wait, will you work with what you’ve got?! Don’t give up on the anointing simply because you’re tired of waiting for the appointing. Just like David, your time is coming. Commit to excellence in whatever is in front of you and do I‎t with a consistency in your character that says that you are courageous, of age, well-spoken, good looking (in all senses, hello!) and that GOD is with you. So, Whatever you are: be an excellent one. Cling to the promise that through that anointing at the appointed time you will see the anointing flourish into all that it was destined to be. Always remember that you are crowned and Anointed. 

Is it just me or has 2020 seemed at times like a hopeless situation? Well, the good news is that some things are not what they seem. This season has taken the phrase "clear vision" to a whole new level. When life gets hard, hope can be hard to come by. But the truth is that more often than not as we face life’s daily situations, we can find ourselves living on borrowed hope. In my life, borrowed hope has been better than no hope at all. Hope is the crown that makes endurance possible in the face of truly insurmountable obstacles.
