We're less than 30 days from the election. Every presidential election is high stakes, but this one stands out in recent history. Reverend Wendy Hamilton is today's guest. She was part of Andrew Yang's presidential campaign, but she's voting for Biden with only Biden and Trump remaining. We talk about the relationship between church and state, as well as the importance of voting.

This is the first of many episodes in which I'll spotlight a Black content creator. Today's guest is the host of the Electrified Podcast. Eric started his show in his dorm room closet as a mass communications major, and two years later, his show is heard worldwide.

Aarika Rhodes joins the Crossover Podcast today. She's running for congress out of California's 30th district. Aarika is a teacher but decided to run for office once Donald Trump moved into the White House. She worked on Andrew Yang's campaign, but since he is out of the race, she made it clear her vote will be for Biden/Harris. We discuss voting, social justice, and the fight for equality. The stigma of mental health in the Black community is strong. We often ignore the signs or don't have access to proper services. To shed light on the importance of mental health, I'm joined by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Valerie Carmel. She discusses her upbringing as a Haitian American, her career as a therapist, generational trauma and more. Valerie provides mental health services in Florida so please visit her website if you wish to connect with her.

To say today's guest comes from a basketball family is an understatement. His father, uncles, and cousins all worked in the NBA. Basketball is the family business, so Matt Babcock, the founder of Babcock Hoops, joins me to discuss his career as an agent and basketball analyst.

Carl Little, Director of Player Development at North Carolina Central University, is with me after he put out a call on social media for alumni to send $240 each to the athletic departments of their respective alma maters.
Those of us who grew up watching A Different World or had a family member attend an HBCU always had a special place in our hearts for Historically Black Colleges and Universities. They welcomed us with open arms when predominately white schools weren't so kind unless you could catch a football or dunk a basketball. For all of the prestige of Howard, Spelman, Hampton, and others, HBCU's have always struggled with generating the same kind of income as their counterparts.

The NCAA and its member colleges have drawn heavy criticism for not paying college athletes. College athletics earn $14 billion annually, yet athletes aren't allowed to profit. Today, CEO of The Professional Collegiate League Ricky Volante joins me.
Ricky, along with some intelligent and thoughtful leaders, including former NBA Allstar and Champion David West, are building a professional basketball league that will not only pay its athletes but provide them with scholarships to attend college.

After current NFL player, DeSean Jackson, and retired NBA player Stephen Jackson made anti-Semitic comments, a lot of people pointed fingers and took sides. Rather than do that, I opted to reach out to a Jewish-American. America has never had an honest conversation about race. Frankly, America has never had a frank discussion about anything, but on today's episode, that's what two people will do. Editor in Chief for Silver Screen and Roll Harrison Faigen joins me for a candid conversation on racism and anti-Semitism.
