Crossing Cultures, Making Disciples
Steve Bortner
What if you could hang out with veteran international student ministry workers, hear about their efforts to reach and disciple international students for Christ, learn from their best practices and their “don’t do these things”, then take an idea or two to inspire and improve your personal and group ministry? That’s what we do each week on the “Crossing Cultures, Making Disciples” podcast. Hosted by Steve Bortner, a nearly 30-yr veteran of international student ministry, every episode will be an in-depth look at how to welcome and befriend, and love and serve international students, that you might disciple them to be Ambassadors for Jesus Christ.
It All Started When... How I Became Involved In International Student Ministry
You've probably heard the saying before, "God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called." I remember when God called me into ministry. Almost 15 years later, when I thought I had figured out what living out His calling would look like in my life, God got my attention and redirected my vision and mission for impacting young adults for Christ. And with a promise that my destiny and legacy would raising up and sending Ambassadors for Christ to disciple the nations. In this episode, Steve tells how he began to engage international students on campus.
