Thank you to everyone who has supported the Crohn's Veteran Podcast for the past 3 years. I am grateful for every stream, every interview, and the media exposure the show received. I am grateful to everyone who supported the Crohn's Veteran online store. This is the final episode of the Crohn's Veteran podcast. I talk about staying nicotine free since my 1st episode. I also thank my co-hosts CJ and Renika for their contributions along with everyone single person by name who was interviewed. I am excited about the future and am looking forward to continuing to do my part to support the Crohn's and Colitis community. Don't lose hope and don't give up on your dreams. It is okay to ask for and get help. I am a better person because of this show. My goal was to provide a platform for all people impacted by Crohn's & Colitis to feel valued and heard. To let others know they are not alone. I'll see you on the next adventure. Look for more to come. Thank you to my wife and son for their support. Much love and respect. Jordan B. Episode 74 - Patara Harper: Corporate DEI Advocate & Crohn's Mom
Patara Harper and I met last year at the massive HLTH Conference hosted at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. We were invited to the conference as vendors to share our patient stories with healthcare providers. The conference was a memorable and fascinating experience. After learning we both had Crohn's Disease we immediately clicked. I couldn't be more grateful to call Patara a friend. She was kind enough to share her journey for the last Crohn's Veteran podcast interview. Patara talks about her diagnosis, medical bias, living with active Crohn's as a working Mom, her stage actress dreams, and the recent triumph of completing her Master's degree. I have a lot of respect and admiration for Patara Harper. Listen to her inspiring story and please share it far and wide.
