I absolutely love this podcast. Each day I learn something new and even if it doesn’t pertain to an issue I deal with, I oftentimes know someone who does have an issue. I have been encouraging friends and family with some of the issues discussed to listen as these podcasts hold invaluable information. In addition to the podcasts themselves, Bri adds show notes for each one, with summaries and important links which are super helpful as I often listen while I’m walking or jogging so it’s difficult to take notes myself. I have loved this podcast from the beginning! After hearing the first episode I knew it was for me! I’ve learned so much and has challenged me to think about my own values and opinions. I have made small changes in my daily life to reduce plastic use. Most recent changes ( reusing jars from food and saving my glass kombucha bottles for “to go” water bottles). But episode 17 is alarming! 😧 I haven’t thought about my clothes and washing them to this extent before! I absolutely love how real Bri keeps it. Bringing honesty and awareness to such important topics! After episode 17 with She changes everything, my eyes have been opened to micro fibers!! I’ve taken all synthetic clothing off my Christmas list, and told my husband allll about it so we can just spot clean our synthetics as needed, and hopefully buy a guppybag soon! :)

Hi ladies! Love listening to your podcast. I just wanted to leave a comment about episode 10. I loved all of the information however it was a little unclear during the podcast what the WHO sugar recommendation actually entails. Your message came across that women should have no more than 25 grams and men should have no more than 30 grams.. which is true but there is a caveat to that. It does not include sugar from whole fruits and vegetables and sugar naturally occurring in milk or milk products. Also, i don’t think you have ever talked about this in a podcast but it would be great to do a podcast on breaking down the nutrition labels. Most people don’t know how to use the information to improve their health and do not know that the percentages are based on the RDA or AIs from 1968!! The nutrition labels need a complete overhaul! Even though it’s in the pipeline, some of the changes they are making are actually worse (in my opinion). For instance, they are changing the serving size to the usual amount consumed by Americans and not the recommended serving. Which is crazy! Anyways, thanks for the great info!

I love this podcast!!!! Both Brie and Laura are very knowledgeable and just their thirst to continue educating themselves makes you want to kind of question in a good way the things you’re doing day to day! I personally have looked into my health extensively and just finding a place to research and find articles can be so overwhelming. This helps condense so much knowledge for everyone and makes it accessible to everyone. I also love that they are both so honest about maybe where things are lacking or the knowledge is lacking in the health care field without being rude and the fact that they both still work in the healthcare field and are trying to help us all understand the thought processes and protocols is really enlightening!!!! Love it keep them coming!! This totally feeds my inner nerd and has given me such great info for my children even!

Loving the topics and broadening my knowledge
I’ve listened to all episodes - usually the day they are released- and have been enjoying learning more about the body, nutritional healing, and holistic health practitioners through the lens of Laura and Bri. I too am a nurse and have struggled to find a balance between being a silent witness to the pain and suffering experiences of my patients OR an overzealous educator with a “preachy” or “judgmental” approach to care. I love this podcast because I’m reminded that I don’t know it all and have so much to learn as a nurse and as a person wanting to live a healthy lifestyle. They are doing something extraordinary here! Their unique insight earned throug their years of professional and personal experiences provides a lens I have not previously found represented within the podcast realm. They're goals and intentions are clear: education and self adovacy is the key to prevention. A fresh perspective we’ve been waiting for!
I have been following Laura on Instagram for about a little over a year now and have recently just started following Bri. I am an emergency medicine researcher by day and exercise physiology PhD student by night. Through both work and school my mind was full of textbook information, but anything “alternative medicine” related was always considered to be “weird hippy stuff.” I have always been curious about integrative medicine, how to fuel my body the right way and to treat it with respect and honor, but it is hard to figure out wha is right and wrong when both sides of the coin (alternative/integrative vs. western medicine) call the other side crazy. Having Bri and Laura as medical professionals finally speaking out and saying, “yes, both are important, and here’s how to learn more and figure out what is right for you,” is SO IMPORTANT and has already been so insightful! I have followed both of you on IG for quite some time and LOVE all your insights. I’ve always thought I was generally a healthy person and have really had my eyes opened recently on food choices and been inspired to educate myself as you so often preach. I enjoyed both episodes and will def be a regular listener. Small feedback on the sound quality though: I can hear Briana very clearly however I’m having a hard time hearing Laura, her voice did not come through as crisp, almost muffled. Everything that you have said is SO true! I believe people are in denial about how much they can change the course of their whole life by everyday choices. We also see our pts suffer because it takes more effort to live with healthy intention. To put it bluntly, I ask myself how I see myself dying. Do I want to end up dying in a hospital post stroke or MI? Also, do I want to prevent now or treat later when it may be too late. I also think people easily give up on themselves and think they are “too far gone”. It’s not too late! Keep this conversation going! Thank you so much from a ICU, float pool nurse!
