I’m a long time weekly supporter. You guys have always bring great through content. I’m noticing the last several episodes Stephanie talks over Derrick, especially if he doesn’t agree with her. I feel like some of these especially this one should’ve just been an episode on Stephanie’s channel. We need Derrick’s input and opinions too.

Hate Alleigha Botner! Who the hell spells it that way anyways? She was pushing him to kill Ashley the whole time. She 100% should have some kind of charge. My daughter got me hooked on this podcast. I love Derrick’s perspective and he always tries to remain neutral and see the other side. Stephanie does a great job of storytelling. Sometimes you can tell she gets annoyed. I don’t care as long as you don’t drag it out yk. I also love that they have criminal coffee. They really do seem to care about the victims and want to help.

Hello, I came across you guys sometime in April and I’ve been absolutely hooked since. I love the format and I think it’s great to have Derrick’s perspective as former LE and Stephanie’s perspective as a veteran in the TC community. I see a lot of people criticizing biases and “being opinionated” on the pod and it’s interesting because everyone has a bias and even with opinions, the reporting is still clear cut and comprehensive. I’ll continue listening to each episode you two release. It’s my favorite podcast. Keep doing your thing!

Their coverage is amazing. Very in depth. Always engaged & waiting for the next episode. I especially loved the last few series. Though very serious crimes, the lightness brings a good balance which overall makes it more digestable & entertaining! Love their dynamic!! I would pay to listen back to back!! So good. + many other shows are so obvious it’s a script reading. You do not get this feel at all! 7 stars! x

I will change my rating after you hopefully read this. I feel like Derrick dumbs himself down to over explain his theories and repeats them several times over. Stephanie seems annoyed at him a lot but also over how theorizes. Part 3 of the last episode was basically them theorizing who turned off the blink camera for what felt like an eternity. This feels offensive that you’d think people don’t catch on what your doing to drag a story for four episodes

You both agreeing that the juror should have been removed for having a different opinion was absolutely shocking to me and has made me reevaluate everything single thing that you have reported on. To so egregiously and erroneously misrepresent our judicial system to the extent you did has immediately made me unfollow this show. Can you imagine if the jury numbers were going the other way, and you tried to remove the only juror sticking to “not guilty” (which has happened in plenty of other criminal trials)? The fact that you’re taking the word of the jury foreperson who is now basking in her time in the limelight and ignoring the fact that other jurors have reported name-calling, bullying, etc. from jury deliberations is disgusting.

Im listening to the J.C. McGhee episode- a complicated case if there ever was one. The podcast manages to explain the situation and its nuances in a way that held my interest. A lot of podcasts wind up muddying the water or just going into non-essential sidebar conversations, but this one managed to inject relevant info without losing the focus. Very well done and I look forward to listening to other episodes. I hope Madison and the family finally get some answers.

Hi guys! Love your podcast!! I just wanted to point one thing out… I grew up around Ocala and the fastest way for me to drive home after I moved away is to go straight through where this all happened. There are patches all through that area where is literally ZERO service (why I don’t drive there at night). I’ve had to call 911 because that’s the only amount of extremely low service I had just to get a tow truck before, and that took a few tries and walking around to get a call in. Just keep that in mind!! Love the show, keep doing great work!

When this podcast is good, it’s really good. Lately though, so much time is spent on inane bs and teasing what’s coming up in the next episode, it’s getting ridiculous. They’re obviously trying to drag a story out into as many parts as possible. I love a good deep dive, but when the story stalls out for hours, that’s not it.

Since the mess of the Gypsy Rose episodes, there has been stellar, real, amazing work and research since! Thank you, top story research and telling!

Do you think Chandler researched Peter Capuza so much to “frame” him? Maybe he thought when his parents’ remains were found law enforcement would write it off as Capuza?

I recently found this podcast and I am loving how deep and thorough the research and details are. It is truly unique. Stephanie and Derrick bring great insight and knowledge. I truly appreciate the viewpoints of the criminal aspect of the crimes. Keep up the great work!

I am finally getting around to writing a review for the best team in true crime. Stephanie does impeccable and thorough research, along with wonderful writing, and Derrick’s law enforcement/PI background brings great perspective and depth of knowledge. The two of them together have amazing chemistry, bouncing ideas off each other and giving listeners much to think about. My favorite channel by far!

As a former Criminal Investigator, I’ve been listening to true crime podcasts since pre-Serial, when essentially you had Sword&Scale, True Crime Garage, and Generation Why. Since then, I’ve been through thousands of cases and a hundred or more shows, with only a handful staying in the weekly rotation. This is one of them, because their discussion adds to the case. I’ve seen several cases covered on many platforms, but no one does more research than Stephanie. She always finds something new. I’m on the Krista and Bart episode today, and the offender is, in my opinion, a narcissist in that the fractured parenting, with one elevating and the other minimizing, creates that fragile grandiosity and eventual narcissistic collapse, when exposed and confronted (not unlike Scott Peterson). Keep it up! Sending some undercover pineapple love from Boston.

This isn’t just covering the story/case. They get deep into the cases & tell you the whole story! Best true crime podcast I have listened too.

i honestly don’t want to go to deep into it but i am deeply disheartened by what was said surrounding the clancy trial just because some women have come out saying they had pp depression or psychosis means that she didn’t is just insane. Sadly my mother had pp psychosis after having my little brother and there were troubling instances but my father removed us from our mother and got her treatment and we didn’t see her wo supervision for a full year before they felt it was safe. while it is a complicated and nuanced issue this whole recent weekly update has made me deeply disheartened and will be stepping back from the show. wish you all the best

I took a flight recently and randomly ended up watching a documentary called ‘Witches’ by Elizabeth Sankey. It completely opened my eyes and changed my views on postpartum depression and psychosis. I highly suggest people watch it if you are interested in the Lindsay Clancy case.

I don’t know how Stephanie reads as much as she does but she draws information from books, articles, newspapers, and anything else about the cases they cover. Then Derrick provides a good take on why or why not police would have acted the way they did. Their back and forth perspectives add a lot to the show. I listen to a lot of true crime but this is by far the best researched podcast for the genre, particularly the cases with multiple episodes.

I hoped to learn about the Lindsay Clancy case and instead got endless stories about the host’s difficult baby and the retired cop’s angry and inflammatory comments about suicide. Don’t waste your time.

Honestly love the podcast so much, I’ve been listening for years. Only one thing I’d like to comment on and that’s how in the last few cases they have been adding A LOT of 911 calls, court audio and interrogation audio. Most of the time the audio isn’t clear and Stephanie has to repeat what is said anyway or the audio levels are super low or loud, it distrusts the flow of the podcast and I would prefer for them to keep it the way they’ve always done it.

So Crime Weekly won the most popular true-crime podcast for 2025 and 2026 at Crime -Con. This award was selected by the people, so has special meaning and should tell YOU, the listener, just how good Crime Weekly is. Firstly, Stephanie, one of two hosts, goes into the most-detailed account of the background, crime, investigation, trial(if there is one) and family response on every case. Derrick, a former police officer, current PI and podcaster, comments on the case and gives us a former-law-enforcement-officer's experience. But perhaps, the most important reason I listen is the relationship between Stephanie and Derrick. These two really love and respect each other. I experience their care for each other in every single episode and I don't even know why, but that draws me in. They care equally for the victims and want justice. LISTEN, you won't regret it.

I love the banter back and forth and most podcasts don’t go so in depth I love it!! Stephanie should be in the FBI!!!

The only podcast I come back to week after week, year after year. Hands down the best true crime podcast. 10/10

My favorite podcast! You guys are the best!

If you are into crime cases this is the best podcast by far. Stephanie and Derrick are a great duo and the details of each case is like no other show out there.

Stumbled on this podcast a few months ago after googling the Piketon murders and was blown away with their style of coverage. I’m in my car all day and listen on iheart and then turn on their YouTube channel when I get home. Just love Stephanie and Derrick and including them in my day to day with their hearts and smarts.

This is such a good podcast, not just a ‘good True Crime’ podcast! Solidly researched, informative and banter that isn’t ridiculous….Smart! Solid!

I have listened to a few episodes and the speculation is just too much. On the last episode speculating about the father and at one point implying there was no choice for the mom but to kill the kids. These cases seem less baked than some of the other podcasts on true crime. It’s so much speculation with no real evidence.

I’ve gone months without listening. Tried listening again and couldn’t get over how annoyed I was with the Hosts. Like nails on a chalkboard.
