Case Request
Let me start by saying that I love this podcast! It’s would like to request a case, but I’m not sure where to do that, so I thought here would be my start. The case is Amber Lundgren, a 20 year old woman brutally murdered in June 7, 1997, in Asheville, NC after a night out with friends. She was found the next day brutally murdered. 29 years later, her murder is still unsolved. DNA was collected at the scene and even with all the advancements in DNA testing, still no answers. I heard about this case today from my boss, who was a friend of Amber’s and was actually supposed to go out with her that night but decided not to at the last minute. Amber, her family, and friends deserve answers. Please, please, please cover this case…someone needs to…

Harmony Ep. 2
I had tears in my eyes and a heavy weight in my heart after episode 2. So many thoughts, so much anger. It’s so important to honor Harmony by keeping her story alive and spreading the truth so at least the main monster in this story can be held accountable. Rest in peace sweet child knowing we all love you. The rest of the people that failed you can live in, and eventually, go to hell.

You asked where my line would be with the back and forth, and my line would be after the first time she was returned to crystal and had to be taken again. You had an opportunity to get your child back and still couldn’t do right by her? You’re done. Crystal CLEARLY has an issue with accountability, to this day. She has no business raising kids. I’d also like to mention that the day with two court dates? Crystal DID go to Jameson’s court date and he was still ADOPTED out. She was clearly not getting harmony back. Anyway.. you guys are doing amazing. Today’s my birthday and I’m so glad that there’s a new episode to listen to while I clean my house.

Best podcast
I have been watching Stephanie Harlowe on YouTube for years, long before she started her podcast with Derrick Levasseur. When I first started listening, I honestly had no idea who Derrick was, but his perspective, professionalism, and experience have added so much to the show. Stephanie has always been incredible at digging deep into every story and giving background on everyone involved, which really helps you understand the full picture. Together, they handle each case with genuine respect for the victims and their families, and that truly stands out. I honestly can’t say enough good things about them. The chemistry between the two of them is amazing, and I never miss an episode.

10/10
This is the only podcast I have consistency listened to for 5 years. The banter between Derrick and Stephanie is unlike any other hosts and adds an extra layer to every case. Stephanie does such an amazing job researching and deep diving into each and every case. Derrick’s professional background gives a perspective we usually don’t get. The episodes are easy to listen to and keep me entertained/intrigued. I will always be a fan!

Episode 407
As always you two are the best and this is, hands down, my favorite podcast. There were a few things discussed in episode 407 that weren’t quite right and it would be awesome to do a deep dive into the case of Mackenzie Shirilla. The Netflix show left quite a bit out, likely in order to gain her parent’s participation. Her blood/urine was not tested for drugs on the night of the accident and it was not tested until 4 days later. She had a history of threatening suicide, and honestly she’s an immature and petulant narcissist. I 100% believe her actions were intentional and that she murdered those two young men. Deep dive please!

Best true crime duo
Absolutely the best true crime podcast team. They focus on the survivors and refuse to glorify or platform the offenders. Their compassion, empathy, and moral compass are top tier. They work well together and complement each other very well.
Shading of the Heart
Shirilla Case
I have not had time to watch. But just saw a resource that said go watch Killer Cases Season 4 Ep 12 and you will get a lot more evidence that Mackenzie intentionally killed those young men.

Cari Farver case
I don’t know if this has already posted. Hi Derrick and Stephanie, I listened to the episode at work and had to rewind because I wanted to hear how you said “Pottawattamie” because I kinda loved your take on it. As someone from Pottawattamie County, it is actually pronounced as “Pot uh Watt ah me”. I send this with much love!! You both create a great podcast!!

Disappointed
Your coverage of the Athena Strand was wildly inaccurate. So disappointed in your desperation to get an update out when you clearly didn't research any of the case or the trial. It WAS sexually motivated. His DNA WAS IN HER. Come on DO BETTER!!!!!!

Athena's Dad
Horner is pure evil, 100%. With that said, not everyone has the ability or desire- mentally, physically, emotionally, morally to take someone's life. During this episode, I was all in until you mentioned Athena's dad being put in a room to let him finish things off with Horner. For me, as a parent, I absolutely believe I would want vigilante justice. However, I don't think I could ever label myself as a murderer no matter how I got there. I do like the option of putting him in Gen pop and turning a blind eye though. ;)

The best duo in crime podcasts
I love when Derrick treats a case like his own case & he hasn’t heard of it before. Stephanie is the best researcher, even if she goes off on crazy tangents hahah I love them both. Always recommend this podcast!
katejaneparker
5 stars but….
I definitely give them 5 stars. I appreciate the research that goes into making sure everything is as accurate as possible. My biggest critique would be that I wish they put more diversity into the cases they cover. I’ve been listening for about a year but I’ve watched pretty much all of the cases on YouTube and it’s not much diversity. There’s a lot of other current cases that you can use your platform to bring awareness to.

1O,013 ⭐️ MY STAR RATING SHOWS WRONG/ I THINK I JUST KILLED CW 😢 😭
Disclaimer: Writing with full knowledge that Crimecon giveaways are gone 😂 !Having exhausted my queue and bored by the same old cases, I stumbled onto CW just before attending Crimecon Denver. HOOKED.. (Sister picturing a Jester’s Hat: Big Brother Derrick?? Me: Yes. Trust me. 😆 How had CW never come up in my feed? Stephanie and Derrick shine with their commitment to quality. They deftly tackle known, unknown and current cases in a variety of formats. They speak knowledgeably from solid facts, experience, and the heart; all with genuine interest in hearing back from viewers. Admittedly, l am a podcast snob and a first time reviewer for any podcast. They are the real deal folks! So bummed to miss meeting you at Crimecon, look forward to doing so in the tuture. P.S. even the & really are that good! Keep it coming guys! UPDATE: OMG OMG 😱 DID I JUST GIVE YOU ZERO STARS!!?? I have tried about 10 times to fix it. I TOLD YOU I don’t know how to write reviews! UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: as I wallow in my misery that I may have just torpedoed my favorite podcast, I must admit this before you banish me for good. I may have slightly lied in my review. Derrick, do you consider asking two women where to find the steakhouse at CC Denver and them pointing to the right “ meeting someone? “ If so, it was so great meeting you and we look forward to you remembering our conversation so we can continue it at the next next Crimecon 😂 😂 😂 (we can’t make Las Vegas). Seriously you guys are awesome and totally worth being borderline late to work on Fridays as I listen to the new drop. ❤️❤️❤️

Crime Weekly is honestly my favorite podcast, and I look forward to every new episode. Stephanie Harlowe and Derrick Levasseur are amazing together their chemistry, storytelling, and attention to detail make every episode so interesting and easy to get pulled into. You can really tell how much time and care they put into covering each case. I love that the podcast feels informative while still feeling like you’re listening to friends talk through everything. No matter how long the episodes are, I always end up wanting more. Definitely a must-listen for any true crime fan!

Not just entertainment
I love how Derrick always uses the case to teach the audience something to help the stay safe. Stephanie does a great job researching and writing the script it just pulls me. The D4vd crime news is getting old and so is 20 minutes of Stephanie pretending she is a psychologist. The first time time ever I had to skip ahead was the crime News this week and Stephanie’s 20 minutes opinion and saying the same thing over and over.

My favorite podcast
Stephanie & Derek are so thorough and authentic. I love it.
CheyKy22
Lindsay Clancy episode full of ignorance and misunderstanding of mental health
Unfortunate to hear the hosts interpret the mental health/medication issues with such a lack of understanding. They should have consulted with a professional who could have helped them understand what psychosis actually entails versus the very rudimentary understanding they display. Regardless of your opinion of this case, it’s just bad research and prep and makes me question their actual understanding of other cases as well.

Great Podcast, Great Hosts
Stephanie and Derrick have a great dynamic. Stephanie does a phenomenal job laying out the cases in a way that is digestible, thorough, and captivating. Derrick provides valuable insights drawn from his time as a police officer, detective, and private investigator. His technical critiques of aspects such as crime scene forensics, interrogation techniques, and law enforcement culture foster a deeper sense of understanding for those not well-versed in criminal investigation. Perhaps most importantly, Derrick and Stephanie hold themselves to high standards. It’s evident that they take care to discuss victims and survivors with respect and dignity. They also use their platform for much more than true crime entertainment. They take time to point out how we can all learn from cases to better protect ourselves and those we love, and they use proceeds from their coffee brand to fund cold case forensic studies. Additionally, I admire their willingness to own any mistakes along the way and grow from the experience. If you’re looking for a true crime podcast with top-notch hosts, you found it here at Crime Weekly.

Great True Crime Podcast
I think Brandy was not involved with the pot farm. I think that there is a connection you make with your spouse that can take some time to resolve in your heart. I also think that her cheating on him created a guilt burden that may have made her feel bad for her husband and that may be why her outward speech was in conflict. Her heart was probably also in conflict. Also perhaps they were using back door voicemails to send messages to each owe, not text message or phone calls.❤️

Comment on Brandy Hall Episode**
First off I've already given this show a full review before you guys are the best! As someone in crime analysis I love hearing the detailed story telling and a law enforcement POV. But wanted to comment on the Brandy Hall episode. I think a likely reason for calling her personal voicemail from her work phone would be if her personal phone battery died. Especially if she had been communicating with Randall so frequently throughout the day. Again, great podcast you both are amazing!

Long time listener
I have been listening to these 2 since day 1! I have enjoyed every podcast episode and have been able to enjoy long stretches of driving thanks to these 2 and their podcast. I have especially enjoyed how they don’t add gore and yucky details to things that some other podcasts tend to do and thrive off of.
