Once again, back to Napa Valley! Today marks the release of Dalla Valle’s: 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Collina Napa Valley Red (a blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot) along with their premuim flagship 2019 Maya (Cabernet Sauvignon/Cabernet Franc blend). This morning we will hear a little bit about the story of how Dalla Valle came about.

This week we speak with Arturo Pallanti from Castello di Ama and learn a little bit more about the Chianti Classico region and the history surrounding Ama. We're also joined by Sheila Flaherty for Five For Thursday featuring wines from: Cliff Lede, Paua Bay, Dolce Vita, Biserno and Rothschild's South American property  Flèches de Los Andes.

You may well be acquainted with the wines of Silver Oak, founded and run by the Duncan family, leaders in the Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon community, but this week we are talking about the Duncan family’s other venture, Twomey, which was founded in 1999. This venture expands the Duncan’s interest in California winemaking beyond Cabernet Sauvignon to the cooler climate vineyards that span the coast from Central California’s Santa Maria Valley to Oregon’s Willamette Valley, to bring you their take on Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir, specifically the Twomey 2021 Sauvignon Blanc, the 2020 Anderson Valley Pinot Noir and their 2020 Dundee Hills Pinot Noir from their Oregon site.
