Not alone!
This is more than just a behind the screen look at movies. Frank also discusses the growth of his business and employee relations. Wow, so helpful! I work in a different industry but also employee artists ( and maybe still consider myself one). It’s so great to hear that I am not alone and that there are others out there struggling with similar issues and succeeding

Great Material!
As the Owner and Artist at Khabs Am Pekht Kreations (unapologetic plug for myself😅: @khabsampekhtart on IG & FB), this podcast has helped me grow tremendously.
Starting a business without prior experience is legit like fumbling around in the dark and hoping you don’t bump into anything sharp unprepared. But listening to Frank and the myriad of insightful guests that he and Len bring onto the show has helped enlighten a lot of the sharp things you run into, and has made me think about things I wouldn’t have thought about, even despite being enrolled in as a business major in college to help with my art gig.
Awesome podcast. Thanks for making it happen Frank and Len. Will be putting into the tip jar as soon as my income is sufficient haha!

Great film industry podcast
This podcast is not just for special makeup effects or monsters. This podcast discusses the ins and outs of running a business, dealing with practical effects and other industry professionals.
The interviews and history from the artists on the shows is fantastic. Can't wait for the next episode. I currently have this podcast on repeat during my daily drive

Interesting and Fun.
If you like behind the scenes information on makeup and special effects, then this podcast might fit the bill for you. I don’t always agree with some of the opinions, but who says you have to always agree with someone to find the work they do interesting. They have had some fascinating guests and I suspect that will continue. Love for the audio to be louder, yep I turn it up and use headphones. I have three out of about a dozen podcasts that seem to have this problem. Doesn’t matter though, I’ll be waiting for the next episode and the next crazy story about what happened on that project from back when…

Laughs, Heritage and Inspiration
I love Frank and Len’s podcast, as a maker myself being able to switch off while sanding, or sculpting, painting or whatever I happen to have on my work bench, just listen to them free ball with the best in the industry, have a chuckle and wow at the stories is priceless, with them on in the shop its always a good time. With history of the industry and hearing about how others got into the industry, what kept them there with insights to the lows as well as the highs, its real and raw, funny and inspirational all rolled up into one.

Happy I found this show!
I found this show around December and have been happily catching up on the past episodes. Great guests! The hosts keep the interviews moving along and reference a lot of great history of the industry and important names that influenced the guests. Subscribe to this one!

A Podcast for everyone.
This podcast is for everyone who likes good conversation, special fx, and makeup. Right at the top of my favorites podcasts. Great guests with their stories and insights as well as just being a fanboy of movies and fx. Great job Len & Frank!

Inspirational and Fun
As a home haunter/tinkerer I've been looking for ways to broaden my knowledge on not only techniques but on the history of FX and make-up. When I started to listen to Frank and Len many of these iconic artists were not household names to me. Not only does Creature Geek introduce these names but Frank brings them right into his studio for the podcast. I've gone in crazy internet black holes learning more about Shannon Shea, Steve Johnson and Bob Burns, guests introduced to me by Creature Geek. Frank is a no-nonsense guy who tells it as he sees it - and that honesty is welcomed here - especially when talking to SFX veterans who have seen it all. Len is an awesome artist in his own right and does a great job steering the ship for us non-pros. In 2016 I'm finally going to create and build my own latex mask and Frank has been the inspiration for that. Thanks guys!

Every Episode is Worth the Listen
I really enjoy this podcast. There is a good mix of history and theory and humor and industry information. The interviews are great. Give it a chance. You will like it.

Great podcast!
Frank and Len are both entertaining and knowledgeable about the special effects industry, and the creature movies! The guests they have may not always be household names, but once the introductions are over, it's clear they've worked on all our favorite movies and have so many great behind the scenes stories to tell. (The Steve Johnson episodes are the best!) I can't recommend this podcast enough for the person who is just into makeup and special effects as a hobby, or someone who is serious about making this a career.

Great show
Even if you just have a passing interest in movie sfx this is a great podcast. Their guests have a behind the scenes point of view. With their humor the feeling of "just one more episode before I go to sleep" may make you hate the morning.

Great show, tons of fun!
Fun and interesting show that really gets its legs as the season goes on. I'm looking forward to more great guests!

I tried, I really did.
They never explain anything. It's a lot of jargon and references. If you haven't seen all the movies or know who Bill, Bob, Jake, John, Moe, Curly, Larry, and so on are, you're lost.
They also really need to beef up their research. Four minutes of them being confused by werewolf/vampire Eddie Munster is not entertaining. Cow mutilation theories are also a bit off topic.

Id like to love it
Steve Johnson turns out to be an idiot with no pertinent information to anything.. what a waste of an hour.
you guys want to be taken seriously, dont do that again.

Great, Interesting stuff
Len and Frank lend a hand in sharing info and trivia on the wonderful world of creature-creation, make-up, and other effects for various media. Frank's great to listen to, and Len's a great counterpoint. Good and informational stuff!
If they read this review, I just have one qualm: I probably get why there's a mild reverb effect to make it seem like it's in a dungeon or cave or something, but I would love it without a reverb as it gets kind of distracting. Otherwise, awesome!
