I am so grateful for Steve, the work he does and the conversations he hosts. This is such a needed podcast!

As a new Pastor, I am intrigued and interested in this topic and this podcast gave me some insight as to my next steps. Also, as someone who practiced Islam for years and who witnessed my own father, take a pilgrimage to Mecca I know the importance of loving your neighbor, and strive to live it out. Grateful

I love this podcast! Steve does a great job of introducing me to new faithful men and women to follow that are excellent at their craft and have the character to back it up. Love it!

As a pastor and growing communicator, this is a source of weekly challenge and encouragement for me. I have recommended it to so many! in a culture that loves charisma, I think what I love most is the attention to character. This is going to grow you in ways that people can’t see, so that you can grow in ways that people can see.

Not only am I a long time follower of Christ, but I’ve been following Steve for a few years since his teachings at Willow Creek Barrington in Illinois. His messages and teachings are with me every day and have helped me get through some of the toughest times in my life. Just discovered this podcast; wishing Steve had another with just his sermons on different Bible passages…. But maybe he thinks no one would listen. But I definitely would! This new podcast with my friend Steve Carter and his team at Craft & Character is so vital for leaders. Steve is an absolute joy of a person and his character is bigger than his desire to be known. Listen to this every time an episode drops and you won’t be disappointed, in fact you will be transformed!

I love being able to hear from Steve and other incredible leaders. I really relate to Steve being an Enneagram 3. He really has incredible leaders on who lead with character, and that is the most important thing. Time after time Steve proves his character in his life and really reflects how to lead others in his own life. I greatly respect him, and this podcast. It’s came at a perfect time in my life. I love being encouraged in my craft.

Any pastor and or communicator (of any kind) needs this podcast. The greatest intangible for any communicator is authenticity, that can’t be faked, it comes from a commitment to internal transformation. This podcast beautifully marries the two!

This podcast is incredible! I have now binge listened to it three times all the way through. Each time I learn nuggets of wisdom, and each time it is different. It is easy to learn from and easy to listen to. The information is timeless. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone that communicates with people.

Really loved getting to listen to this podcast. I don’t really preach but I have so enjoyed the conversation surrounding the meat of a persons life who is in ministry! I’m a kids pastor so I don’t necessarily preach but this podcast isn’t just for preachers.

This is the best podcast on the craft of preaching I’ve seen. I love that we get to listen to an excerpt from messages and talk about specifics of what made it work. Super profound and practical. Opened my eyes to new voices in the church who have challenged and encouraged me.

As someone who wants to go into ministry, I am thankful for this podcast. It is great to hear and discover communicators and how they prepare a message for Sunday morning. Each one of these communicators have something different to say and have a different approach for their prep. I have been waiting for a podcast like this for so long. As a communicator, I am always hungry for tools to help me develop my skills. This podcast does that. As a follower of Jesus, I’m always looking to deepen my devotion to Him. This podcast helps me do that. I need this podcast. The church needs this podcast. This is important work!

So far your first episode was awesome. Key points I took from this was: the harder you work the more rest and recovery is needed, happiness equals reality minus expectations, the lord uses us to deliver his message not as just a vessel but as a filter through human means. Those are my own words / interpretations of the discussion of course. Thanks for the guidance and I look forward to episode 2.

Amazing concept. Work on your craft but do not neglect your character. Too many of us (pastors and preachers) work only on the first and not on the second. Thank you for having the conversation to better communicators across the country and world but also challenging us to do the hard out of working on our character! There are a lot of great resources about preaching and a lot of great resources about character formation but few options when it comes to connecting the two. This podcast brilliantly manages to address both critical needs. One episode in and I am hooked!!
