Scenes from an Arraignment
Former President Donald Trump appeared in a Washington DC federal court on August 3, 2023, to be arraigned on four counts related to efforts to overturn the 2020 election that culminated with the January 6th riot at the Capitol. ABC’s Steven Portnoy had a close-up seat to the brief but historic proceeding. No audio was allowed out of the court, but Steven was able to send a steady stream of information as it happened to ABC’s Alex Stone, who relayed it live during coverage of Mr. Trump’s appearance and not guilty plea. Here are highlights from ABC News Radio’s coverage.    Learn more about your ad choices. It was Solomon, the wisest of all biblical figures, who said that while so much of eternity and our future lives are unknown and unknowable there are seasons for everything. Maybe that’s the best way to look at 2022. If nothing else, perhaps 2022 may be remembered as a year of transition – globally and locally – while some familiar struggles remained entrenched. In Playback 2022, ABC's Aaron Katersky and Cheri Preston take a look back at the year's top stories.   Learn more about your ad choices.
